Looking forward to a great Masonic Year under the leadership of our Worshipful Master Dave Schuler! Excited to see brothers progress under the guidance of our senior leaders. Also great to see our families in the lodge, a reminder that we labor Masonically for them as well. Of special note, the outgoing Master Dan O’Neil was moved to tears when the lodge gifted him a Past Master’s apron and also invited his wife come up and help him put it on for the first time!

Many of our Brothers attended the Shriners Calcutta event… Bros. Peter Leduc and Jeff Clark did an amazing job organizing and running it! Bros. Scott and Vince attended and were finalists! They split the big pot! The Worshipful Master also attended and was knocked out of the running early, but went home with some chocolate!

On Thursday, December 11th, something merry (and maybe a little Grinchy) will be happening in the Blue Lodge Diner at Mt. Mansfield Lodge #26.

While the Grinch may have tried to steal Christmas, he couldn’t steal our appetite — and certainly not this feast! Join us for a warm, hearty holiday spread that would make even old Grinchy grin:

🍖 Glazed ham
🥔 Mashed potatoes
🍞 Stuffing
🎃 Seasonal squash
…and all the festive fixings that make your heart grow three sizes.

So don’t sit alone atop Mount Crumpit — Come down to the Lodge and fill your plate, your belly, and your spirit!

We'll gather around the table at 6:30 PM.

Bring your goodwill, your cheer, and maybe a brother or two in tow — Because as the Grinch learned, the best part of the season is sharing it together.

We look forward to feasting with you!

Kindly RSVP to [email protected] so we can ensure that roast-beast is plenty large enough for all. Suggested donation is $15.

Today, we pause to honor the courage, sacrifice, and unwavering commitment of the men and women who have served in our nation’s armed forces. Their dedication to protecting our freedoms and preserving peace embodies the highest ideals of service and brotherhood.

As Masons, we recognize the shared values of duty, honor, and compassion that unite us all. To every veteran—thank you for your service, your sacrifice, and your example.

231st Anniversary of the founding of The Grand Lodge of Vermont

On October 10, 1794, fourteen representatives from five different lodges within the three-year-old State of Vermont met in Rutland to convene a constitutional convention for the formation of the Grand Lodge of Freemasons of the State of Vermont.

Over the following days, these representatives developed the framework for governance, culminating in the adoption of the Grand Lodge Constitution on October 15, 1794, and the first annual communication of the Grand Lodge held that same day.

On this day, as we commemorate that historic event, let us all reflect on the tenets of Freemasonry in Vermont — Relief, Truth, and Brotherly Love.

With the highest fraternal regards,

Bro∴ William Karstens, IV, Most Worshipful Grand Master

Highlights from last night’s educational program! Brother Max Lamar shared the history of coal mining in Indiana and the roles certain brothers have played in his career. We also learned that many of these large excavators are known as dinosaurs… You could probably guess why.
