Many thanks to our Ethics Month panelists for joining us at Florida Atlantic University last week! Panelists Charles Suits, M.A., APR, Fellow, Neil Santaniello, and Daniel Torchia, APR fielded questions about how the PRSA and Society of Professional Journalists codes of ethics overlap and how public relations professionals can responsibly advocate for our clients while maintaining our integrity. Many thanks to PRSA Palm Beach past president Toby Srebnik for speaking with Florida Atlantic University’s PRSSA chapter this week!

Toby's presentation, "PR - Relationships Matter," discussed different parts of his in-house and agency career along with the things employers are looking for today.

He also showed the chapter recent earned media his company secured on FOX 13 News - Tampa Bay and walked them through a play-by-play on everything PR professionals do to work with reporters bringing coverage to life.

Today’s PRSA Palm Beach “Communicating Community Impact” event brought together communications and public relations leaders for an insightful conversation about how organizations can communicate their impact, build meaningful partnerships and help drive positive change throughout the Palm Beaches.

A big thank you to our distinguished panelists, Sarah Alsofrom of GL Homes, Stephanie Slater Goldfuss of Lesser, Landy, Smith & Siegel, PLLC, and Ilan Kaufer of FPL, for sharing their expertise and perspectives on corporate citizenship, community engagement and the important role strategic communications plays in advancing community-focused initiatives.

We are especially grateful to CareerSource Palm Beach County for welcoming us and hosting today’s event, and to GL Homes for generously sponsoring lunch through Feeding South Florida. Thank you to Feeding South Florida for helping make today’s meal possible and for the important work you do in our community.

We were also pleased to welcome one of our past presidents, Chuck Suits, APR, Fellow PRSA, second from left in the photo, who led our chapter in 1994 and is a founding member.
