We would like to thank the NRA Foundation for their continued support of our shooting sports program, as the Jefferson Davis Parish 4-H Shooting Sports program has received a grant from the NRA with a value of $4,500!

Without this yearly grant, we would not be able to continue this lifelong sport. The grant allows us to reach the youth of our parish who would not be able to participate under normal circumstances and instill the importance of firearm safety, respect, sportsmanship, and responsibility to them.

The Jefferson Davis Parish Sheriff’s Office will host a Hunter Education Class on Friday, September 25, and Saturday, September 26.

The class will be held at the Jefferson Davis Parish Sheriff’s Office, located at:

1530 Hwy 90 West
Jennings, Louisiana 70546

Class Schedule:

Friday, September 25: 4:30 PM – 8:00 PM
Saturday, September 26: 8:30 AM – 5:00 PM
⚠️ Only 30 spots are available, so interested participants are encouraged to register as soon as possible.

The Jefferson Davis Parish Sheriff’s Office invites members of the community to take advantage of this opportunity to gain the knowledge and certification needed to enjoy Louisiana’s outdoors safely and responsibly.

Anyone interested in Jeff Davis 4-H Shooting Sports are encouraged to attend the informational meeting. This will also be the last opportunity to enroll in the program for Shotgun discipline for the year. Sign up forms and payment can be done at our office.
