Update on Sarge...
He is still the same. His anxiety is through the roof, he is ripping everything out. The EPI test results came back positive so the vet is calling in the enzyme powder to Sam's. I will be going to pick him up and bring him to my house, she wants to see if he will calm down being in a home. Still waiting on the cytology report to come back. I will have to buy lots of chicken and rice to feed him. She said he won't take his medicine but for me to just try anything I can to get him to take it. She said he is not out of the woods by any means but wants to see if this will help. She said if it doesn't then we may need to think about his quality of life. She said they are at a loss as to what this is as it doesn't fit anything clinically. So if you could say a prayer for Sarge and for me we would appreciate it.

I will get plenty of video of him leaving the vets and coming to my place and I will post it once we all settle in.

I did a Facebook live with Sarge a couple hours ago. We are so worried about him. 6 days in the ICU. Several tests, medications and no clear answers yet. I know yall are tired of hearing this but this has drained our bank account, completely. We will not be taking in anymore dogs, period. Just adoptions and adoption events.

If anyone has any ideas for fundraisers AND can do the legwork, let us know, currently we only have 2 active board members running this whole organization and we are wore out. We have posted a Scentsy Fundraiser, our online apparel shop, our raffle basket and barely have gotten anything from those. We will still keep promoting those as every month the raffle will be different, as long as we can find businesses to donate items, so far, not much luck, personally am at a loss. My heart is hurting 💔
As most of you might know we do not have a facility, we are a foster based rescue so we do not have rent etc. We do try to make sure our fosters have everything they need too.

There is a post on here already for Sarge's medical. If anyone can donate for anything else please let us know, we order dog food from chewy when a foster needs it. Therefore we do not take dog food donations because our fosters are spread out all over Oklahoma. We are good on prevention for all of our dogs so basically we need monetary donations for medical, boarding and food. We only have 4 dogs in boarding so any fosters we do get will get a dog out of boarding. Right now all of our fosters are full. We no longer can afford training for any of our dogs so we don't need money for that.

🐾 Meet Kilo & Chap 🐾
Age: ~2 years (both)
Location: Tulsa, OK
Neutered: Yes ✅

Kilo and Chap are a bonded pair of sweet two-year-old shepherds, and they're looking for a home together.

These two were found as strays. When their microchips were traced, their previous owners had already rehomed them and weren't looking to take them back.

Based on the condition they were found in, they came into our care to get healthy, and they're getting stronger every day. Right now they're in foster care in an outdoor run with good shelter.

At the vet, both boys were sweet and didn't mind a bit of poking and prodding. Chap's coat is coarse and thin from flea irritation, and he's being treated and getting a few good baths, so it should improve with time.

Both boys are heartworm positive and currently in treatment.

We don't know yet whether they're housetrained, so we're assuming they aren't and will work from there. We'll learn more about them at the next adoption event.

What we do know is that these boys have each other, and they shouldn't be separated if at all possible. A home with room for two will get two very grateful dogs.

🥰 Meet Remi 🥰

Age: 2 years
Location: OKC
Spayed: Yes

Remi is a VERY sweet, smart, eager-to-please girl who just wants to be wherever you are. She's a true shadow, a big cuddler, and she will happily follow you from room to room. 🐾

She loves walks, following a good scent trail, and playing fetch, tug, and chase with her foster brothers. She does well with other dogs after proper introductions.

Remi is extremely treat motivated and learns fast, which makes training a joy. Her recall is pretty good, unless she's tracking something! She is still working on her manners. She can be mouthy, jumps when she's excited, and she's learning to walk nicely on a leash.

She isn't house trained yet, but she is crate trained and hasn't had a single accident in her crate. She eats fast, so she uses a slow feeder.

Remi has a high prey drive, so she needs a home with no cats or small animals. She'll do best with older kids and adults who can handle her energy.

Remi is heartworm positive and is in treatment. Once completed she should be able to live a long, normal life.

This girl is smart, loyal, and full of potential, but she needs an active, patient adopter who understands shepherds and is ready to put in a little training. In return, she'll be your built-in shadow.

💛Hi Shepherd loving families.

❤️‍🩹Update on our poor baby Sarge. He has been hospitalized since Thursday October 22nd. He has had alot of tests, xrays, bloodwork etc and the only thing that any test ever shows is LOTS of inflammation in his gut and down his throat. Doc said it is very concerning to them although nothing definite has been confirmed yet.

🐕‍🦺They did send off samples to Texas A&M for EPI. Those results probably won't be back until late this week or so. They are going to start him on a steroid and see if that helps. He has been on so many different medications but everything is still the same. He is still drooling. He is eating and pooping so that is good. He just doesn't eat very much.

🐾We had initially raised what we thought was going to be plenty of money 1,400.00 but we never dreamed he would be hospitalized this long.. The invoice below is for the charges up until yesterday. Does not include the scope and medications from today.

😞We really hate to ask again, but we have no choice. This is hitting us hard and we probably should have said no to helping Sarge due to our current financial state but we didn't have it in us to do that.

💔This very well could be the last dog we save for a long time. We do not have the money in the account to continue saving any more. We barely have enough to care for the ones we have... please pray that none of the dogs get sick.
