THE VISION FOR DREAM CENTER HOUSTON:
The Dream Center is a volunteer-driven organization that is designed to find and fill the needs of the people in Houston. We will be doing this through mobile hunger relief and medical programs, residential rehabilitation programs adults, a shelter for victims of human trafficking, transitional housing for homeless families, foster care intervention programs,
job skills training, life skills, counseling, basic education, Bible studies and more. We work to meet people where they are at, to bring them hope and a way off the streets. Dream Center Houston is an inner city resource that will bring hope and restoration to the broken. At the core of our mission and vision is the desire to be the premier inner city resource for the City’s at-risk population — a drive that invariably relieves the City’s already heavily burdened social services community and improves the target area locations by fostering positive and holistic neighbor-helping-neighbor philosophies. And the Lord said unto the servant, Go out into the highways and hedges, and compel them to come in, that my house may be filled. -Luke 14:23 KJV
MISSION STATEMENT:
Dream Center Houston’s purpose is to reconnect isolated people to God and a community of support by providing human services that address immediate and long-term needs in the areas of homelessness, hunger, poverty, addiction, education, and human trafficking. To reach out to people and show them the incredible potential we believe lies within the lives of at-risk youth, the homeless, and the needy families of our community by restoring hope and allowing them to dream again. We believe there is raw, untapped talent all over the world, in nations, states, and in every community. Our passion and plan is to create a Christ based safe place where anyone can come and perform music, dance, art, whatever it may be, and expose/share their talent. It is so important to help people identify their gifts and talents, to show them that God has them here for a purpose. To go further to teach them how to use those gifts to bless their generation; to raise up leaders who will awake and impart a continuum of the heartbeat of this ministry to their generation and the next.

Below is a “vision list” of programs the Dream Center will be offering to Houston. Being that we are looking for a facility to house the Dream Center the majority of these programs will come at a later time, however we are STILL a Dream Center without the building and we will be proceeding with ADOPT-A-BLOCK as our first program in Houston. ADOPT-A-BLOCK:
This is the heart of the Dream Center Houston. Going out and serving the community in any way possible. On Adopt-a-Block you’ll go along with us to a community to clean, sweep, paint, minister, pick up trash, visit, build relationships, pray and do whatever we can to show the love of Christ. Our goal is to let people know that we are here to help them in any way possible. RESCUE AND RECOVERY FOR HUMAN TRAFFICKING:
We will offer a nurturing and secure location with programs and services to address the specific developmental, physical and psychological needs of people. Restoring and rebuilding the shattered lives of children and adults rescued from commercial sexual exploitation and forced labor. The Dream Center Houston will be working with local law enforcement to help people escape abuse and receive a fresh start in life. Through viable networks with law enforcement agencies and community-based organizations, The Dream Center will be taking the first important steps toward establishing tangible methods and techniques to effectively reverse the effects human trafficking has on its victims. FOSTER CARE INTERVENTION:
We believe that no child should be taken away from loving parents because of poverty. We will be building relationships with the Department of Family and Children’s Social Services to receive family referrals from social workers on a weekly basis. We will go out and deliver food, clothes, furniture, beds, appliances, baby supplies, and anything else that these families need in order to keep their children. More importantly, to build relationships with these families with the hopes that one day they will come to church and accept Jesus into their hearts. FOSTER CARE RELIEF / AGED OUT FOSTER CARE:
The Dream Center Living Foster Care Relief Program provides furnished suites for young single men and women between the ages of 18 and 21 who have aged out of the Foster Care System. A dedicated group of staff will provide a loving, Christ-centered environment in which the youth can thrive in learning life skills, obtain education, access to legal aid and health assistance if needed. HOMELESS OUTREACH:
Our mission is to reach, without prejudice, to the homeless community. Our goal is to provide meals to those living on the streets, under bridges, and in the shelters of our city. We will use the meals as a tool to draw large crowds of people so that we can effectively and lovingly share God’s love with those that we serve and meet on the streets. We will offer to pray with them and listen to their stories. Some of the people want to talk, others don’t. Some of them want us to pray for them or their families, others politely say no. So we pray and minister with those that will allow us, and we pray for those that won’t allow us. Our mission is to help lead these people one person at a time into a better life by leading them into a personal relationship with Jesus Christ with the help of the Holy Spirit.

24/7 HOUSE OF PRAYER AND WORSHIP:
God has placed in my heart a passion for this generation; to restore the house of prayer that King David built. The need for full-time laborers in the house of prayer is as great now as it was then. In Acts, the Apostle James, quotes Amos reminding the crowd of God’s promise to restore this night and day prayer ministry to the whole earth before the Second Coming of Christ (Acts 15:16).
-“After this I will return and rebuild David’s fallen tent. It’s ruins I will rebuild, and I will
restore it…(Act. 15:16)”.
-”I have posted watchmen on your walls, O Jerusalem; they will never be silent day or
night. You who call on the LORD, give yourselves no rest, and give him no rest till he
establishes Jerusalem and makes her the praise of the earth (Is. 62:6-7).”
I also know that Jesus’ ministry always began with prayer, and as his followers we imitate
that pattern that he laid out in his ministry: prayer followed out by action and good works.
-“While it was still night, way before dawn, he got up and went out to a secluded spot and
prayed. Simon and those with him went looking for him. They found him and said,
“Everybody’s looking for you”. Jesus said, “Let’s go to the rest of the villages so I can
preach there also. This is why I’ve come”. (Mark 1:35-38)
“External religious worship (religion as it is expressed in outward acts) that is pure and unbelished in the sight of God the Father is this: to visit and help and care for the orphans and widows in their affliction and need,”. (James 1:27)

In order to make all of this possible, we are currently developing a team of families, ministries, NGO’s, and anyone passionate about this cause to join by giving financially. We are extending an invitation to you to partner with this ministry assignment through prayer and finances. You have the opportunity to be apart of something amazing that God is doing in this generation. This has been a dream of mine for years therefore we want to partner with people who have the same heart as we do accompanied with bold action.
