Tulsa Girls' Home (TGH) is committed to providing a safe landing for vulnerable girls — for a season or until they are ready to live independently.

Tulsa Girls' Home is a therapeutic home providing quality residential care - supporting girls in foster care and aging out of foster care as they find healing & equipping them to become women who understand their value, potential and uniqueness. As a equine ranch, TGH will give refuge to pre-teen and teen girls who are currently in foster care and need extra support in overcoming trauma. Our goal is to help each girl find hope, healing, and their promised future! We serve girls in crisis regardless of their race, religion, or national origin. Through equine therapy, the TGH - ranch helps each girl become all they desire to be! Our promise is to be fearless advocates for the girls we aid. As a staff, we are committed to innovative problem solving, empowerment, passion, accountability, transparency, and an act of relentless courage focused on meeting the needs of the most vulnerable who will have the most promising future!

Friends, we are SO CLOSE to opening our very first foster home through Tulsa Girls’ Home! We need $150,000 to make it happen.

We can’t rewrite her past, but we CAN help change her future.

Did you know our work with vulnerable children actually started in Uganda?

After years of serving children there, the Project Orphans board began asking a bigger question: What if we took the same mission of caring for orphaned and vulnerable children and brought it home to Tulsa?

That question eventually became Tulsa Girls’ Home.

And now, the two worlds beautifully collide. Girls from TGH have traveled to Uganda, written letters, made bracelets, and sent love to the kids there. They understand loss, abuse, abandonment, and the need to know you belong in a way many people never will.

Different countries. Different stories. But a shared understanding that makes the connection incredibly special.

Sometimes healing happens when you realize your story can help someone else heal, too. From Uganda to Tulsa and back again—that’s the heart of our mission. 🤍

WE MADE IT! 🥹✨

70 dresses? Maybe 80? Honestly, we lost count. But every single girl found THE ONE! And not a single tear was shed, which, if you’ve ever taken a group of teenage girls homecoming dress shopping, you know is a HUGE win!

A special shoutout to David’s Bridal in Tulsa, Oklahoma, for helping our girls find their perfect dresses and making this experience so special.

But here’s what we want people to understand. These girls are beautiful, inside and out. And experiences like this matter more than you could ever imagine.

For some, it’s about so much more than finding a dress. It’s about being celebrated, feeling beautiful, having someone show up for you, and getting to experience the moments every teenage girl deserves.

And watching each of them find a dress that made them feel confident, beautiful, and excited for their special night? There’s nothing quite like it.

If you are a girl in foster care in Oklahoma, age 14 or older, please reach out to OKSA! They offer up to $300 toward homecoming dresses and shoes for eligible youth. Every girl deserves the opportunity to experience these special moments!

And to our incredible community, THANK YOU. Because of you, we get to go above and beyond. From hair and makeup to all the little details that make homecoming night unforgettable, you will help us remind these girls that they are worthy of being celebrated.

CHILD MARRIAGE ISN’T SOME FAR-AWAY PROBLEM. IT’S HERE.

And we wouldn’t be talking about this if we hadn’t seen how these gaps can affect girls right here in our own state.

Oklahoma finally passed Senate Bill 504, requiring a person to be 18 to marry—no exceptions.

That is a GOOD thing. It closes pathways that allowed minors to marry through parental consent or court authorization.

But here’s the part that stopped us: The law doesn’t even take effect until November 1, 2026.

In 2026, we are still waiting for this protection to take effect. How did it take us this long to decide children should reach adulthood before entering a legal marriage?

And November 1 doesn’t eliminate every concern.

STATE LINES MATTER.
Marriage laws vary between states. That raises important questions about minors being taken elsewhere to marry and how those marriages are treated when they return home.

GUARDIANSHIP & CONTROL MATTER.
After November 1, a parent or guardian cannot simply consent to an underage marriage in Oklahoma. But changing the law doesn’t eliminate grooming or coercion. Adults can still control a vulnerable child’s housing, transportation, documents, finances, communication and access to safe people.

Guardianship itself isn’t an exception to the new marriage law but positions of authority should never be weaponized to facilitate exploitation.

A MARRIAGE LICENSE ISN’T THE ONLY WAY TO CONTROL A CHILD.

Family pressure, forced relationships, isolation, financial dependence and informal ceremonies can still leave a child feeling like she has no way out.

So YES—SB 504 matters. It is important progress.

But we still need to ask: What happens when a child is taken across state lines? How do we recognize coercion when the adults controlling her are the people legally responsible for her? And where does a child go when the adults who should protect her are the people she needs protection from?

Because we’ve seen enough to know these aren’t hypothetical questions.

A child should never be one signature, one state line or one powerful adult away from exploitation. SB 504 is progress. Now let’s keep protecting the gaps.

TGH wouldn’t be what it is without the incredible women who show up every single day and love our girls so well.

Today we traded our normal routine for a little lunch + learning together! We spent time talking about compassionate care, healthy boundaries, and what it looks like to love and support our girls well while still helping them grow.

This work isn’t always easy, but getting to do it alongside women who genuinely care makes all the difference. So grateful for this team. So grateful for this family. And so grateful for the way each of these ladies continues to pour into the lives of our girls.
