💰💰💰Has anyone else collecting monthly disability payments noticed that the dollar amount has gotten smaller over the last few months? I’m now collecting $40 less per month than I was this spring. 💲💲💲

🎮 INTRODUCING THE VFW POST 9126 GAMING COMMUNITY!

We’re excited to officially start building something new at VFW Post 9126 in Glenpool — the **VFW Post 9126 Gaming Community**.

Our goal is simple: create a place where people can play, connect, compete, make friends, and belong.

Veterans will always be at the heart of what we do, but this community is not limited to veterans or VFW members.

Veterans. Active duty. Guard and Reserve. Military families. Friends. Local gamers. Community members.

If you want to game with us, you’re welcome.

We’re planning both **online and in-person gaming**, including:

🎮 PC & console gaming
🐉 Dungeons & Dragons and other TTRPGs
🃏 Magic: The Gathering and other TCGs
🎲 Board & tabletop games
♠️ Poker & card games
🏈 Fantasy sports leagues
🏆 Tournaments & competitions
🌐 Online gaming
🎉 Game nights, LAN-style events and community events

We’re also working toward establishing four gaming PC stations at the Post as the beginning of our physical gaming setup, with room to grow as the community grows.

We already have program leadership and volunteers starting to come together, and we plan to work with local gaming groups, game stores, clubs, businesses and other organizations throughout the Glenpool and Tulsa area.

We’re also looking for people who want to help lead games, organize leagues and events, volunteer, partner with us, sponsor the program, or help with equipment and other needs.

But today we’re kicking off one of the biggest pieces:

🇺🇸 Navajo Code Talkers Day 🇺🇸

Not every weapon of war is made of steel.

During World War II, Navajo Marines used their language to create a code that helped secure vital military communications in the Pacific. Their unique contribution gave American forces an advantage when secure communication mattered most.

Today, we remember the Navajo Code Talkers—not only for the code they created, but for the courage, sacrifice, and service behind it.

They spoke their language. They served their country. They helped change history.

💜 Today we pause to recognize those whose service came at an unimaginable cost.

Purple Heart recipients carry wounds that tell the story of sacrifice, courage, and devotion to our country. Their legacy reminds us that freedom is never free.

Please take a moment today to remember and thank those who have earned our nation's oldest military decoration.

Everyone deserves a chance to move forward.

If you have outstanding Tulsa County warrants, the Warrant Clearing Event could be the first step toward a fresh start. For many veterans, resolving legal issues can also remove barriers to employment, housing, and the benefits they've earned.
