Coming on Thursday! The The Jenkintown Farmers Market!!!

HEY JENKINTOWN! Your farmers market's opening day is Thursday, May 21st at the Jenkintown Library! 3 pm to 7 pm in the library parking lot.

So far this season we have 18 vendors coming to the market, although not all at once. Opening day has 11 on the docket -
Herrcastle Farm LLC. , Mockingbird Sourdough, Bacon On A Stick, Stone & Key Cellars, Traditional Greek Sweets, Golden Cravings, Five Saints Distilling, Saint Rocco's Treats MR Big Stuff Cookie Co., Samsaric Brewing Company, and Drinkmermead round out the opening day roster.

🎨 REMINDER: JCA Art Scholarship — $3,000 — Deadline June 1
Calling all Jenkintown Borough seniors pursuing the arts: the Jenkintown Community Alliance is awarding a $3,000 scholarship to one graduating senior heading to college, university, trade school, or art school this fall.

Who qualifies:
✅ Senior in high school
✅ Resident of the Borough of Jenkintown (not the full 19046 zip)
✅ Pursuing the arts in any form — writing, painting, drama, music, sculpture, dance, design, you name it
✅ Planning to enroll in post-secondary education

Due to the forecast, the 4th Annual Jenkintown Spring Craft Fair scheduled for tomorrow, May 9th has been canceled.

The National Weather Service is calling for steady rain beginning after 8 AM, wind gusts up to 25 mph, and a high of just 51°F. It's not the day we wanted, and we're sorry to our vendors and everyone who was planning to come out.

Our vendors have been offered options to carry their spots forward to our Winter events or our weekly farmers markets — more on those coming soon.

And of course, The Jenkintown Farmers Market farmers market starts in less than 2 weeks!

Thank you to our amazing Public Works crew that went to two tree farms to find the right tree just for us. They go above and beyond every year to beautify the borough, by finding our tree, putting up the snowflakes in the gazebo, and putting all the wreaths and garland on the light poles.
