Jenkintown Scouts BSA Troop 201

Jenkintown Scouts BSA Troop 201 is a combined Troop for boys AND girls. Scoutmaster: Jessica Barnett

We are chartered to Immaculate Conception in Jenkintown, Pa., and we're open to all who would join us in Scouting.

Thanks to the Scouts and adult leaders who took part in Jenkintown's Memorial Day parade and commemoration events. And extra kudos to Ted for his expert trumpet skills.

Congratulations to Colin O'Donovan, who passed his Board of Review tonight to earn the rank of Eagle Scout. A Scout, a scholar, an athlete, and an all-around good guy, Colin's Eagle Scout Project was in service to Immaculate Conception Church, Troop 201's charter organization.

He helped design and led the construction of a system of trolleys to store boxes beneath the stage at Immaculate's Conahan Hall.

He will graduate from LaSalle College High School a week from tomorrow and will attend the University of Pittsburgh.

This weekend, Troop 201 camped out at Ockanickon Scout Reservation and welcomed the Arrow of Light Cubs from Jenkintown Cub Scouts Pack 210

If your Valentine's Weekend wasn't sweet enough, join us Sunday morning out in front of Immaculate Conception along West Avenue for our annual bake sale.

We officially open shop at 10am, but you can expect some Troop members there earlier for folks leaving the 7:30 mass.

Please join us in congratulating Teddy Currano-Allen, the 2025 recipient of the Bob Gabage Memorial Scout Award. The Bob Gabage Memorial Scout Award is awarded to a rising Scout who exhibits a desire to lead by example and strives to embody the Scout Oath and Scout Law.

Teddy was one of a handful of great Scouts nominated by the Troop 201 Scoutmasters. The Troop Committee selected Teddy because he exemplifies the Scout Spirit. He is a leader and mentor to younger Scouts and a stalwart favorite of the older Scouts. He is, in fact, a great guy.

A lifelong Scouter, Bob Gabage was the founder of both Troop 201 and Pack 210 (as well as our former Sea Scout crew). He was a champion of Catholic Scouting and very active in the Council as well as in the Order of the Arrow.

Whenever we are out and about in uniform, some Scout, former Scout, or current Scouter will come up to us, notice our custom Jenkintown shoulder patch, and share a memory of Bob. He was a leader, mentor, and friend to many.

He continues to inspire. And his legacy lives on in Scouts like Teddy Currano-Allen.

Introducing Troop 201's latest Eagle Scout, Noah Schott!

A Scout since wee times in Pack 210, Noah turns 18 shortly. His project involved building the Gaga Pit at Jenkintown Elementary. He has been an amazing young man throughout, and we are grateful for the time he's spent with us.

Thanks to everyone for coming out to our annual Jenkintown Town Square Cleanup and Food Drive. It is great when the Troop can work with Pack 210.

Special thanks to Jim Riggins from Jenkintown Public Works (and his son, Kenneth), and a reminder to support the Jenkintown Food Cupboard.
