Manor College will honor Mark and Ann Baiada , of BAYADA Home Health Care, as its 2026 Evening with Manor Gala honorees.

“Ann and I are deeply honored to be recognized by Manor College,” said Mark Baiada. “We believe in the power of education to change lives, and we are especially grateful to support a program that is preparing nurses to care for people with skill, compassion, and love. When we visited the skills lab and met the students, we could see their determination and their potential. The world needs good nurses, and these students are answering that call. We look forward to seeing the difference they will make in the lives of their patients, families, and communities.”

In the last few years, the Baiadas have been a steady presence at Manor College. The couple have been an integral part of Manor’s Practical Nursing program, which is currently in its second year. In addition to their vast knowledge and expertise in the field, the couple donated a pair of state-of-the-art patient simulator mannequins for the institution’s skills lab. The pair served as Commencement Orators at Manor College’s graduation in May.

La Salle University and Manor College are entering a new partnership that will open doors for Blue Jays to receive an advanced degree as Explorers.

Students from Manor College who have earned an undergraduate degree are guaranteed admission to many of La Salle’s graduate programs, including Business Administration, Artificial Intelligence, Education, Professional Clinical Counseling, Public Health and Social Work.

Manor students will also benefit from a streamlined admissions process and a clear pathway toward their La Salle master’s degree from the moment they enroll as a Blue Jay.

“A significant part of the Manor College Mission Statement indicates, ‘we embrace the Basilian tradition of service,’ and this partnership with La Salle University presents Manor College students a pathway to bring our Mission Statement to life,” said Joseph E. Gillespie, Ed.D., Manor College’s Provost. “By providing opportunities for students graduating from Manor College to continue their education and earn professional degrees in service-oriented fields so integral to society–fields such as education, social work, counseling, and public health–is exciting as we strive to build a compassionate and caring society.”

Congratulations to Dr. Stephanie Parker! Dr. Parker, the Program Director of Dental Hygiene and Chair of Sciences at Manor College, completed her Doctorate of Health Sciences with Jefferson University.

On Thursday, her students and Dental Hygiene staff combined to celebrate the achievement.

Dr. Cherie Crosby-Weeks has served Manor College since 2011 as the Program Director of the Early Childhood Program. Over her 15 years at Manor, she has been one of the college’s most consistent donors, contributing $15,000 of her own funds to support student success.

To honor her 15th year of giving, Dr. Crosby-Weeks challenged the Manor community to match her dedication by raising $15,000 by Founders Day (January 2027). The community responded with overwhelming support—in just one month, donors doubled her goal by raising over $30,000!

Today is Ryan Lanahan’s 50th Birthday, and his parents, Ria and Mike Lanahan are celebrating his memory today. They would be most grateful if you wanted to honor his life with support to the Ryan Lanahan Social Justice Award Fund at Manor College.

Ryan is a Manor alum who served as a strong and positive presence on our campus. Ryan, who passed away in 2013, brought out the best in his classmates. The fund helps those in the Manor community trying to make the world a better place.

Last semester, Shawn D. received the award. Shawn said he was honored to have been kept in such good company with Ryan. Shawn graduated with a degree in Criminal Justice. He wanted to pursue a criminal justice degree to work as a juvenile probation officer.

"There are many young people who face challenges like living in crime-ridden areas and dealing with gangs, and I'd like to help them. I'm the first person in my family to graduate college, and I know that makes my family proud. Thank you for this award."
