Day of Endurance 🍂 💪

Our CYM yunatstvo practiced courage, teamwork, and resilience through a messenger’s mission, created their own pseudonym, and finished with a pumpkin decorating challenge! Strong pumpkins that won’t die, just like the enduring Ukrainian spirit!

A wonderful time was had by all!

At сходини this week, our yunatstvo learned about Stepan Bandera and Ukraine’s long struggle for independence.

They put that lesson into practice by joining Пласт Філядельфія and The Society of the Ukrainian Insurgent Army (UPA) for Divine Liturgy and a panakhyda honoring Ukrainian freedom fighters of the past and present.

For CYM Philadelphia, named in honor of the UPA, our unified participation carries special significance. We gather not only to remember those who came before us, but to teach another generation why their sacrifice and Ukraine’s continuing struggle for freedom must not be forgotten.

📍 Please arrive by 10:15 AM
👕 Uniforms are requested. If you do not have one, please wear a Ukrainian embroidered shirt if possible.

The first Zlet is unforgettable! Especially for the few who represented our very own Riy Zazulky yesterday. 🐞

Congratulations to Matejko and Danylko who brought home 9 medals, countless memories, and the excitement of returning to Zlet again next year.

This is how the CYM journey begins—with small steps that grow into lifelong memories.
