❗️THIS SATURDAY: The Boys’ Scholarship Program Audition

🔹Date: Saturday, June 6th
🔹Time: 9:00-9:45am
🔹Who: Boys Ages 7-17
🔹Attire: Gym clothes and gym socks, or dance attire and shoes.
🔹Details: No prior dance experience is required and students should arrive ready to participate in a beginner class. Curiosity, energy, and a willingness to try something new are all that’s needed!

Metropolitan Ballet is proud to offer its Boys’ Scholarship Program, a tuition-free opportunity designed to introduce and develop dance training for boys ages 7-18. Whether brand new to dance or already exploring movement, this program creates a space to grow, challenge, and thrive.

Selected students are eligible to receive free, weekly dance classes plus performance opportunities from September 2026 through June 2027. Classes are taught by Metropolitan men’s faculty lead, Daniel Mayo (Juilliard graduate and formerly BalletX), Vitaly Verterich (Kiev Ballet School, Riverdance on Broadway) and Da’ Von Doane (Dance Theater of Harlem).

Dear Metropolitan Dancers, Parents, Alumni, Board Members, and Friends❤️

Thank you for a spectacular year full to the brim with dance training, performances, and community outreach - culminating in a fantastic weekend of Showcase performances and celebration! From the tiniest Wedding Gifts in A Midsummer Night’s Dream to our splendid Company dancers, you were all beautiful.

Congratulations again to our graduating seniors - we are so proud of you and send our best wishes as you begin a new and exciting chapter of life.

Cheers to the 30th year of Metropolitan Ballet Academy! And BRAVO to the many people it takes to Spring Showcase performances happen each year:

⭐️SENIOR SPOTLIGHT: BLAKELY⭐️

A graduating senior with natural elegance and a quiet strength, Blakely has been a beautiful part of Metropolitan Ballet since age 3.

This summer, she’ll be spending time in Avalon, NJ while working at Union League and Avalon Surf Camp, as well as interning with Sayker Analytics, LLC. In the fall, she will attend Villanova University as a Communications major. Some of Blakely’s favorite Met memories include performing in Variations 2026, and she is most grateful for the lifelong friendships and dedication Met has taught her along the way.

You have carried yourself with integrity, both on and off the Marley. Your poetic and powerful movement quality, along with your steady leadership, have made a lasting impact on this company.  You bring a calm confidence to every rehearsal and performance, always inspiring younger dancers along the way. We are so proud of all you’ve accomplished here. The entire Met family is so proud of you!

⭐️SENIOR SPOTLIGHT: MIRANDA⭐️

A graduating senior with inherent grace and talent, Miranda has been an exceptional part of Metropolitan Ballet since age 5.

This summer, she will attend the Colorado Ballet Summer Intensive and Choreographic Workshop before joining the Colorado Ballet Pre-Professional Division in the fall. After taking a gap year focused on dance, she hopes to major in Psychology. Some of Miranda’s favorite MET memories include the countless moments shared in dressing rooms with fellow dancers, and she is especially grateful for the many performance opportunities that allowed her to grow not only technically, but artistically as well.

In the studio and on stage, you have always approached your work with maturity and confidence. Technically solid and deeply expressive, you dance with an effortless quality that makes even the most demanding movement feel expansive and natural. Watching your talent continue to grow has been such a privilege, and we cannot wait to see where this next chapter in dance and life takes you, Miranda. The entire Met family is so proud of you!

⭐️SENIOR SPOTLIGHT: EMMA⭐️

A graduating senior with striking presence and poise, Emma has been a beautiful part of Metropolitan Ballet since age 11.

This summer, she will be working part time as a nurse’s aide at The Pathways of Warrington while also spending time down the shore and in Los Angeles. In the fall, she will begin the Nursing program at Plymouth State University in New Hampshire. One of Emma’s favorite Met memories is performing Deep Down at the Mann Center. She is especially grateful for all the friendships she has made throughout her time at Metropolitan.

In the studio, you bring such a warm and genuine energy that makes you a joy to work with each day. On stage, your dancing is expansive and captivating, combining beautiful lines, technical strength, and a natural ability to command space. We are so proud of all you’ve accomplished and cannot wait to see all that lies ahead for you, Emma! The entire Met family is so proud of you!

⭐️SENIOR SPOTLIGHT: VIOLET⭐️

A graduating senior with a graceful and reliable spirit, Violet has been a cherished part of Metropolitan Ballet since the age of 10.

This summer, Violet hopes to work, take glassblowing and Pilates classes, and spend time camping with her family. As she looks toward college, she is interested in studying Chemistry while continuing to explore her interests and keep ballet as a lifelong source of creativity, strength, and fulfillment. She is deeply grateful for the years of training and memories she has made along the way – performing Bukovinian Lark stands out as especially meaningful.

In the studio, you approach every rehearsal with thoughtfulness, always dancing with maturity and care. Though naturally shy, you truly come alive on stage, dancing with a soft yet powerful energy that draws people in. Your artistry is sincere, and your presence will be so missed within this company. We are proud of all you’ve accomplished and cannot wait to see where life takes you next, Violet! The entire Met family is so proud of you!

⭐️SENIOR SPOTLIGHT: MARY KATE⭐️

A graduating senior with a mature and steady presence, Mary Kate has been an important part of Metropolitan Ballet since age 9.

This summer, she’ll be traveling and spending time with family and friends before attending Bryn Mawr College in the fall, where she will major in Psychology. Some of Mary Kate’s favorite Met memories include celebrating backstage together after the curtain comes down following performances, and she is most grateful for the friendships Met has brought into her life. She will also carry with her the discipline and work ethic the program has taught her over the years.

You bring a powerful energy to your dancing that is both punchy and controlled with ease, filling the space with confidence and clarity. Your talent, reliability, and intelligence have made you someone the company can always count on, Mary Kate. We are so proud of the young woman you have become and cannot wait to see what the future holds for you! The entire Met family is so proud of you!
