UPDATE!! UPDATE!! UPDATE!!
This year we have decided to have the Hitting for a Cure tournament at the Sandlot (Unity Baptist Church). This year we are wanting it to raise more money for children fighting every day with childhood cancer. Here are some statistics to shed some light of what St. Judes does:

The hospital costs about $2.8 million a day to run, but patients are not charged for their care.

The overall survival rate for childhood cancers has risen from 20 percent to 80 percent.

St. Jude treats infants, children, teens, and young adults up to age 21 and for some conditions, age 25.

As of 2012, 81 cents of every dollar donated to St. Jude goes directly to its research and treatment.

And the list goes on and on. Please come out and help us fight childhood cancer.
We will be taking max 10 teams, due to one field. The tournament will have start Saturday and end Sunday after 12. Bring canopies and chairs. The week before, I will send all the team captains a message telling them any changes. Thank you for this opportunity and hope to see you there. Please help us so that these kids get one more day.

HITTING FOR A CURE will be doing its second annual tournament this year. Rings will be for first place winners and shirts for second place. Please contact myself, Kasey Gryder or Erin Coleman. We are trying to take as we teams as we can. Last year we had less than ten but all the money from this tournament will go straight to St Jude's children's hospital. Please come out and support a great cause!

It is that time again. Oct the 24th we will be throwing the 2nd Annual Hitting For Cure tournament. This year will be different as to we will be playing with 11" Incrediballs. There will be more to follow as the rules and general guidelines. We will be playing in Po***ck. Also we will be taking up 16 teams. So get your teams ready and raise this money for these awesome kids.

This year is going to be a very trying time. We are still looking at having a tournament this year. Just dont know alot about it yet. I would like to have it around end of August beginning of September, but we will keep you posted. Let's get the teams ready and let us help these kids. Also if anyone would like to help please let us know.b

Thank you to everyone that showed up today and supported us; whether it was playing ball, Volunteer, or just Watching! We had an amazing day. Congrats to Havoc who came in winning first place, heavy hitters with second place, and harmful if swallowed with third place! Without all of you today would not have been possible so again thank you so very much! Tomorrow or sometime this week I will upload pictures that we took! Hope you all make it home safe ❤.
