We have a praise report. God is so good! MuttNation, founded by Miranda Lambert and mother, Bev Lambert, gives 51 surprise grants every year to one shelter in each state and Washington, D.C. We were honored and overjoyed to be chosen as the Louisiana recipient of $5,000. This came at a time when donations are very slow and we are building a new shelter. This beautiful girl needs a home. She is a pit that wandered up to a man’s house. She was skin and bones and so weak she could hardly walk. He fed her and is getting her healthy. He is willing to take her to the vet to get her shots and get her spayed. He just can’t keep her. He has a lot of rescues already and we are full. These two beautiful girls were dumped in the Harrisonburg area and wandered up to a sweet lady’s house who has been feeding them. They were on the verge of starving. She already has three rescues and can’t take on any more animals. We are also full and can’t take them. These poor babies are living in an abandoned house behind LaSalle Family Medicine. An employee contacted me to take them, but I am so full I have nowhere to put them. She is willing to feed them. I wish I had room. It breaks my heart. If anyone is willing to give any of them a home, TEXT me at (318) 623-3549. In the photo, the top row and bottom left are in the house. Rosie needs to be rehomed. This is the communication from the owner about her:

“Rosie is a 6 month old cur/pit mix who is very loving, sweet, and energetic. Shots are up to date. She shows no aggression towards people or children. Sadly I have to rehome her for safety reasons. I got her and her littermate who is also female and they have developed littermate syndrome. She needs to be in a 1 dog family.”
