Lutherhaven served as a gathering and orientation location for a group of international high school exchange students. The group is with the New Mexico Team of AFS, an international high school exchange program. The local AFS-NM volunteers and international students spent a lovely September weekend at Lutherhaven for their Fall Orientation.

"We have been coming to Lutherhaven for our Orientation since 2018! Lutherhaven is such a wonderful place and this year the weather was perfect! Our 11 international students -- 3 from Italy, 2 from Japan, and 1 each from Belgium, Thailand, India, South Africa, Chile and Germany. Students are hosted by NM families in Albuquerque, Rio Rancho and Las Cruces." - Kathie Dodd

All are invited to attend the Lutherhaven Fall Event as we complete end of year projects and prepare the lodge/property for the winter season. ***RSVP, Lunch Provided.

What is involved?
- Various activities including cleaning inside, external ground clearing, initial seasonal startup duties, general maintenance, and anything else needing attention.

How can you help?
- Consider coming up to help with any needed activities and or to learn about becoming a member and how to reserve/utilize the lodge.

Are there other ways to help?
- Absolutely! We accept monetary donations, and please pray for us!

ALL Invited to the Fall Work Day on Saturday, November 5 from 9 am - 2 pm (PLEASE RSVP at your earliest convenience). The past two years during the pandemic, we have limited our workday crew to just Lutherhaven Board members. This workday will be open to ALL volunteers who are able to make it. We will be focusing on outside projects - working on runoff damage to the road between the Lodge and the lower parking lot, gathering and chopping firewood, cleaning up the campsites and shelter area, cleaning the storage shed, .... Workday tasks are loosely assigned, though, and if there is something in particular that you have noticed and would like to work on either inside or outside the Lodge, you are very welcome to do it.

Lunch on Saturday will be provided - your reward for your work! Please RSVP at your earliest convenience to ensure we have enough food. Message or comment to RSVP with your headcount.
