May is National Mental Health Month, and today, we honor World Maternal Mental Health Day, a reminder that mental wellness is essential for every stage of life, including pregnancy and parenthood.

Across New Mexico, County & Tribal Health Councils are leading the charge to address mental health locally by creating safe spaces, connecting families to resources, and partnering across sectors to ensure care that reflects community needs and culture are accessible.

Together, we acknowledge and celebrate Mental Health Providers working to reduce stigma, expand access, and uplift the voices of mothers, parents, and caregivers. Strong mental health builds strong communities and Health Councils are a vital partner in making that vision a reality.
