It’s hard to put into words what you’ve meant to Solid Grounds over the last couple of years. You started as a customer and quickly became so much more, our head barista, a steady presence, and a big part of the personality and feel of this place.

The way you’ve cared for people, carried responsibility, and shown up day after day has left a mark that won’t easily be replaced.

As you wrap up graduate school and step into what God has next, we’re genuinely excited for you. At the same time, you will be deeply missed by so many here.

We’re looking for a Coffee Shop Manager who is passionate about people, hospitality, and building a healthy coffee culture.

This role will oversee the daily operations of Solid Grounds while cultivating an environment of excellence, hospitality, and community. We’re looking for someone who can lead well and jump in with the team day to day.

• Lead, train, and develop baristas

• Oversee daily operations and inventory
• Ensure quality, consistency, and great customer experience
• Maintain cleanliness and health standards
• Help train new staff and build strong systems

On Good Friday, we closed our doors, not because we can afford to, or because our community doesn’t need it, but because reflection matters.

In the middle of busy schedules, full cups, and daily demands, we chose to pause.

To remember the cross.
The sacrifice.
His love on display.

And today, we celebrate.

The empty tomb.
Hope is alive.
Jesus is risen, and through Him, sin and death are defeated.

At Springs of Life and Solid Grounds, everything we do flows from this truth: that new life is possible, that restoration is real, and that no story is too far gone.

Whether you’re celebrating with family, gathering with your church, or quietly reflecting, we pray you experience the hope, peace, and joy of the resurrection.

Happy Easter. He is risen indeed!

Today, we pause.

Across generations, the people of God have remembered this day, Good Friday, as the moment when love was put on display through sacrifice. Before the celebration of resurrection, there was the cross. Before the empty tomb, there was surrender.

Jesus, the Son of God, willingly gave His life. Not as a tragedy without meaning, but as a victory through suffering. On the cross, we see both the weight of sin and the depth of God’s love. It is here that mercy meets us, grace is extended, and hope begins.

At Springs of Life Network and Solid Grounds Coffee Shop, we hold space for that reality today.

We’ve chosen to close the shop, not just to rest, but to remember. To slow down. To reflect on the One who gave everything so that all things could be made new.

This story shapes everything we do.

From the Connection Center, where we serve and walk with our neighbors, to the coffee we share across the counter each day—our heart is rooted in this truth: that Jesus meets people in real places, in real need, and brings real transformation.

Today is quiet.

But Sunday is coming.
