Let’s celebrate the amazing work of our Save a Life Initiative (SALI) Trainers.

Faith Cornelia and the team from Lumiere Academy in Fiji recently conducted an in-person CPR, AED, and First Aid training in Suva and Lautoka, empowering 89 participants with lifesaving skills.

That means 89 more people are now prepared to respond in an emergency and potentially save a life before professional help arrives.

Every training session like this helps strengthen communities and brings us one step closer to a world where more people know what to do when every second counts.

For some, teaching is a profession. For others, it’s a calling. For nurse educator Kimberley Murray, RN, M.S., it has been a lifelong mission. One that began long before nursing labs, CPR manikins, or simulation rooms.

From mathematics education to nursing leadership, Kim’s journey reflects a deep commitment to helping people understand, act, and respond when it matters most. Today, she teaches nursing at Johns Hopkins University, trains lifesavers through CPR and BLS instruction, and shares her expertise at CASSummit2025.

As a key collaborator with the Disque Foundation, Kim plays an essential role in advancing life-saving education and strengthening community response.
