Had to pick up a few items for my vehicle tonight and had the pleasure of meeting Bryan, the young man that the Principal of JHS, Mrs. Hall, and other GCCS officials recently “brought graduation to” after learning he was working during graduation (you may have seen the viral video on social media). Mrs. Hall’s commitment to ensuring Bryan was included really shows how much dedication she and the administrators at JHS pour into the next generation during their time at, and beyond, Jeff High.

I had a great conversation with Bryan tonight. He shared with me that he’s interested in joining a union. Good luck in your future, young man. Your city supports you!

Congratulations to all of our recent JHS graduates!

Had a blast stopping by the Rollin' on the River Fest to thank the event organizers and vendors for their participation and hard work on planning a successful event. It’s great to see the organizers Todd Antz along with Kelli and Terri Conn partner with the Jeffersonville Fire Department’s efforts around the WHAS 11 Crusade for Children. Special thank you to Andy and Megan Conlen for their dedication to this program. I love the collaboration and unity in supporting our community. Thank you to our Police and Fire team that are keeping everyone safe.

Terre Haute Mayor Brandon Sakbun is setting a powerful example that the next generation of Hoosier leaders across our state can believe in. Young, energetic leaders like Mayor Sakbun and I understand the importance of leading from the front on the most critical issues facing Hoosier cities. Issues such as smart spending, public safety, responsible economic development, workforce housing, quality of life, confronting the homelessness challenge, and restoring engaged city government that actively listens, communicates proactively and transparently, and responds to the needs of the people it serves.

That is why I’m excited to announce that Mayor Brandon Sakbun will be the special guest at my upcoming fundraiser on Tuesday, June 16, from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. at 300 Spring in Jeffersonville.

The 2027 municipal elections are right around the corner! Jeffersonville’s future is bright. It has been an honor to serve as your Councilman At-Large, and my energy and enthusiasm for our city has never been stronger. We’re building a rock-solid, multi-generational, energized coalition built to win in 2027!

Today, we remember and honor the brave men and women who gave their lives in service to our nation. Their courage, sacrifice, and dedication helped preserve the freedoms we enjoy and the values we hold dear as Americans. Memorial Day is a time to reflect with gratitude and ensure their service is never forgotten. Wishing everyone a meaningful and reflective Memorial Day.
