Was out checking disabled vehicles today and came across an elderly couple on the side of I-71 NB just past the crossover of US-35.

They had Tripple A on the way, and I was asked if I could provide an area of warning until Tripple A arrived. After about 30 minutes a big red Semi tow truck pulled up, and it was Rustys Towing Service Inc.

He got out and said, "I see no one was really getting over for you so I thought I would provide you some extra lighting." Which to me is always helpful in any roadside situation.

I have a bad memory when it comes to names, But To whom ever you were again sir, thank you so very much for the help you gave.

Once Rusty's showed up. The folks of the disabled car asked if they would still be charged by Tripple A if we went ahead and assisted before they got there. The answer to that question is No. Tripple A will not charge you for a cancelation if we assist you before they arrive.

We went right to work and began changing the tire as you see in the video. Everything went as smoothly as it possibly could have.

The video is long but as you can see, we discuss the situation and what assistance we can provide. Even with the help of Rusty's, we did the tire change absolutely free. The couple had a long distance to drive, and the weather was a bit on the rainy side as well, so getting them up and going quickly was the main goal.

I want to say thank you to the Tow driver who stopped from Rusty's and the assistance you gave. You did not have to, but you went above and beyond and did anyway. The extra safety buffer was really nice and made the scene a lot safer as well having a bigger vehicle to help shield in case of a drifting car onto the shoulder.

Rustys Towing Service Inc Stay safe out there and thank you for your assistance today. I would not mind working with you guys again. Your driver was super respectful, helpful and courteous.

As Always, Stay Safe Everyone!

Dark Green: Flood Watch
Brighter Green: Flood Advisory.

Please drive with caution today as there is the potential for flooding to occur in streams, creaks, etc...

If you see water across the roadway, turn around don't drown.

It takes very little water to push a car off the roadway.
You may encounter flooding that looks like the water is still, but it is not. There is under water currents that can pull a person down and keep them under water.

As Always, Stay Safe Everyone!

Truck driver fails to move over for disabled vehicle and causes a crash.

I am unsure of the injuries or additional details to this crash, but this is a clear example of why you need to move over and slow down.

I pray everyone is alright.

We are active this Memorial Day!

We will be out and assisting disabled vehicles today.

I personally do not celebrate holidays just as a personal choice. I would rather spend that time helping someone having car troubles.

As Always, Stay Safe Everyone!

For every Veteran not with us today, Thank You for your service. We will forever be in debt to your sacrifice.

Drive Safely, Be very observant of your surroundings when in area's prone to flooding.

🚨 TURN AROUND, DON’T DROWN 🚨

Flooded roads are more dangerous than they look.

💧 Just 6 inches of moving water can knock you down

🚗 12 inches can sweep away a vehicle
You can’t see the road beneath the water—and it only takes one mistake.

👉 Don’t risk it. Turn around. Find another way.
