BSA Troop 175 is inviting 5th grade and middle school boys to join us at our open house on Sunday, November 2 at 5:00 PM at St Edward Catholic Church. Interested youth will be able to participate in activities planned by the Scouts. Parents will be able to meet the leaders and learn about Scouts. Troop 175 has several activities planned in 2026 like snow skiing/tubing, whitewater rafting, ziplining, and more!

Troop 175 (with a small contingent of Troop 346) returned today from a week long High Adventure trip to the Summit Bechtel Reserve in West Virginia. The Troop participated in the , which is a sampler of several High Adventure treks, including whitewater rafting, range and target activities, rock-climbing, zip-lining, BMX, skateboarding and mountain biking.

Also...for the first time in recent memory, we can proudly say we returned with one less youth than we first set out with, and we don't even have to worry about any additional paperwork being involved. Congrats to Ethan for celebrating his 18th birthday while we were on the river.

St. Edward Families,

A Scholarship Fund has been created in the Honor of Charlie Shircliff. The scholarship will be awarded to one St. Edward 8th Grader entering into a Catholic High School based on need. The scholarship will be $1,000 a year for four years. This will be awarded every year, indefinitely. Many of us knew Charlie through St. Edward as he taught our kids religion and history during their 7th and 8th grade years. He was a one of a kind person and his love of our kids and his faith in God was simply amazing. Our goal this year is $40,000 and over the next 4 years it will be $160,000 which will set the endowment up to never expire and will honor two kids a year.

Our first fundraiser is a trivia Night on November 2 at St. Edward Gym. The categories will be all about Charlie’s favorite things. There will be silent auction items from Charlie’s Classroom along with personal items from his collection of baseball memorabilia, board games, and music. There is a link below to sign up.
