Saturday, Lester Flatts traveled over the Rainbow Bridge. Rascal Flatts joined the Special Paws team on January 12th. He just blended right in to the family. He hadn’t been here long till I noticed he had some problems peeing. My immediate thoughts were that he had a UTI, so I took him to Elk Creek Animal Hospital of Hikes Point. Dr. Dowd did an exam and found that Rascal Flatts had bladder stones. Rascal had surgery on April 7th and he did great. When I brought Rascal home after surgery, I fixed him a comfortable place to recover downstairs (it’s two steps down). He really liked the area and after he recovered, he made that area, his. He’d leave it to go outside but would immediately go back there when we came in. He insisted that I feed him there. I referred to it as the Rascal Flatts Suite. The best way to describe Rascal Flatts is to say he was a very good boy and true to his nature, he left us on his own terms. He just quietly went to sleep. I sure am missing you and always will. The Rascal Flatts Suite feels so empty. Thank you Borden Pet Crematory & Memorial Center for again helping me say goodbye.
