Cloverbuds learned about, fed, petted, and walked animals at their May meeting with teaching from some of our animal project 4-H members! There were goats, sheep, ducks, rabbits, and even a few kittens that hitched a ride on a trailer! Cloverbuds also went home with animal themed activity kits for continued learning.

On Friday, June 26th, 2026 from 8:00 A.M. to 12:00 P.M. a Cloverbuds Summer Day Camp will be held at the Jefferson County UW-Extension Office for any interested Cloverbuds! Activities will follow an “Around the World" Theme, with one activity from each continent. On Friday, June 19th, from 8:00 A.M. to 12:00 P.M. a project learning day will be held at the Palmyra-Eagle Montessori School for any interested 4-H Members! Parents will drop students off for this event. Workshops will include: Eco Printing, Chocolate, Clay Beads, and Piñatas. Students will have a chance to participate in all activities! We had a blast at Jefferson County Small Animal Livestock Learning Day! Project members from Dane and Dodge Counties joined us to practice showmanship, wash chickens, hop their rabbits, build a poultry carrier, and see if they have the skills to judge rabbits and poultry. Special thanks to Pete Dempsey, Dan Schwandt, Dan Brattlie, Donna Towel, Samantha Schwandt, Delainey Schwandt, and Hanna Brattlie for volunteering your time to support our youth. 🐇🍀🐓

Jefferson County is partnering with Dane County to offer our youth a 4-H Camp experience this summer. Camp takes place at Upham Woods Outdoor Learning Center in the WI Dells. Youth will experience 3 nights/4 days of fun camp activities, crafts, field games, campfire, swimming, nature walks, games and more.
