βοΈ Week 1 of Summer is in the books, and what a FUN way to kick things off! Weβll be sharing all of our summer adventures each Friday, so follow along to see what Greene County youth have been up to each week!
π£ Monday, we kicked off summer with Fishing Camp in partnership with Greene County Conservation Board! Youth made their own fishing jigs, practiced knot tying, spent time fishing, cleaned their fish, and even learned how to make fried fish and fish tacos!
π¨ Tuesday brought creativity and learning with two Mosaic Art sessions where youth explored different mediums using beans to create unique designs. We also hosted Babysitting Basics, where participants learned babysitting tips, safety information, and how to successfully run their own babysitting business.
ποΈ WednesdayβFriday, 15 Greene County youth attended Clover Camp at the Boone Y Camp for a classic overnight camp experience filled with team building, outdoor adventures, new friendships, and lots of camp fun!
π To wrap up the week, Greene County youth competed at the Livestock Judging Contest at Iowa State on Friday!
We are so excited for all the fun, learning, and memories still to come this summer! βοΈπ
