Jefferson Texas Lions Club We meet every Thursday at Bulldog Pizza in Jefferson. The first Thursday of each month we will meet at 6:30 p.m.

We will meet at noon on all other Thursdays, except for holidays.

During this week’s meeting, the Jefferson Lions Club had two special guests. Leah Cooper shared a brief overview of her book “Recollections of a Life Well-Lived by LeRoy Perry Ades and Leah Ades Cooper”. Shirley Latham, representing the Jesse Allen Wise Garden Club, presented a check to the club for their assistance in filling the jury of the Diamond Bessie Murder Trial play. The club has been providing jurors continuously for
72 years since the play began performances.

The Jefferson Lions Club enjoyed a program presented by Jefferson Police Chief Florentino Perez yesterday about fraud awareness and ways our community can better protect itself. He discussed common scams targeting residents, warning signs to watch for, and practical steps to prevent becoming a victim. The club will support the Carnegie Library’s golf tournament.
Our club meets every Thursday at Bulldog Pizza at noon, with the exception of the first Thursday, when we meet at 6:30 p.m. Please join us for a food, fellowship, and service to others.

Mark Roraback has lived on his property in the Prospect community for over 25 years. High winds damaged his home in 2024. He repaired the damage and cancelled his insurance, not expecting it to happen again.
