Jefferson Adopt-A-Cop recently provided funds to Jefferson Police Chief Florentino Perez and Officer Benjamin Wilson for the purchase of boots. Jefferson Adopt-A-Cop is a 501(c)3 organization proudly dedicated to assisting Marion County law enforcement officers by providing funds for their out-of-pocket required expenses, such as ammunition, utility belts, boots, and tach lights. All donations are welcomed and tax deductible. Pictured with Perez and Wilson are JAAC members Hollis Shadden, Peggy Walker, and Don Rainey.

National Police Week | Honoring Our Heroes in Blue

This week, the Jefferson Police Department proudly joins communities across the nation in observing National Police Week—a time to honor the service and sacrifice of law enforcement officers past and present.

We are grateful for the dedication and courage of the men and women who wear the badge, especially those who serve right here in Jefferson. We also pause to remember the fallen heroes who gave their lives in the line of duty—may their legacy never be forgotten.

To our officers, thank you for your unwavering commitment to keeping our community safe. To our citizens, thank you for your continued support.

Jefferson Adopt-A-Cop recently purchased a weapon and holster for Brazlon Carter-Mason. Brazlon will be joining the Marion County Sherrif’s Office after graduation from the Kilgore Police Academy in March. JAAC, a 501 (c)3 organization, was formed to assist Marion County Law Enforcement officers with their out-of-pocket required expenses, such as ammunition, utility belts, holsters, boots, and (for newly graduated officers) weapons.
