Missouri National Education Association

Missouri National Education Association MNEA serves as the united voice to protect public education and advocate for teachers, ESP & students

The 32,000 members of the Missouri National Education Association are public school teachers, librarians, counselors, coaches, school psychologists and psychiatrists, administrators and colleges and university faculty. We are proud to include among our membership all categories of education support professionals: bus drivers, custodians, teacher aides, paraprofessionals, nurses, school secretaries

and food service workers. Our members are employed in school districts across the state, as well as state schools, community colleges and university campuses. College students studying to be educators are our members, as are a growing number of former school employees who are retired from education. Missouri NEA is affiliated with the 3 million-member National Education Association.

Decades of research prove it: A–F grading systems reflect neighborhood wealth, NOT teaching quality.

Slapping a single label on a complex learning community doesn't help kids, it misleads parents and penalizes local public schools. Families deserve clear, real information about student growth, not misleading labels.

Help us stop this rushed policy before the Sept 15 vote!

“Today the court gave Missourians back the last word. More than 367,000 of us in every Missouri county signed this petition; the Secretary of State's own attorneys admitted that was enough, and he blocked it anyway. Amendment 6 keeps ballot language honest and stops politicians from undoing your vote. Our union will spend the next two months making sure parents and neighbors know that, and we will vote yes on Amendment 6.”

The Respect Missouri Voters plan would make it much harder for lawmakers to overturn voter-approved ballot initiatives.
