You don't need the perfect words to support someone who's struggling.

Sometimes, just being there is enough. Start by listening without judgment, offer your support, and remind them that help is available through 988.

We Remember: The 25th Anniversary of 9/11

Twenty-five years have passed since the September 11 attacks, yet the memories remain deeply etched in our hearts. On that tragic day, nearly 3,000 innocent lives were lost, families were forever changed, and the world witnessed unimaginable sorrow.

Today, we remember every person who never made it home, the courageous first responders who ran toward danger, and the countless individuals who offered comfort, hope, and help. Their bravery and sacrifice remind us that even in humanity’s darkest moments, love and unity can still shine.

As we commemorate this solemn anniversary, may we honor the victims by choosing compassion over hatred, peace over violence, and unity over division.

Twenty-five years later, we still remember their names, their stories, and the lives they touched.

September 11, 2001 — We will never forget.

💛 September 10 is World Su***de Prevention Day.

Today is a reminder that mental health matters, conversations matter, and reaching out can make a difference. This year’s theme, “Changing the Narrative on Su***de,” encourages all of us to replace silence and stigma with understanding, compassion, and open conversation.

For young people especially, struggles with mental health, substance use, bullying, relationships, or simply feeling overwhelmed can sometimes feel impossible to carry alone. Asking for help is a sign of strength.

If you or someone you know is struggling, help is available:

💛 Call or text 988 to reach the 988 Su***de & Crisis Lifeline. Support is free, confidential, and available 24/7.
💛 Talk with a trusted parent, teacher, counselor, coach, friend, or other caring adult.
💛 Check in on the people around you. Sometimes a simple “Are you okay?” can open the door to an important conversation.

You matter. Your story matters. And there is always hope.

STAY 🙏🏼

Today, September 10, is Stay Day in Jefferson City.

Mayor Ron Fitzwater proclaimed September 10 as Stay Day during Monday night’s City Council meeting, recognizing World Su***de Prevention Day and the importance of raising awareness that su***de can be prevented.

Today, the community is encouraged to come together, spread hope, foster connection and support one another. If you or someone you know is struggling, remind them to Stay - because the world is a better place with you in it. Cappy Classic

September is National Su***de Prevention Month.

For most of the country this is the month the conversation happens. For Mission 22 it is every day of the year.

But we are grateful for September. Because for thirty days more people are willing to say the word out loud. More families feel permission to talk about what they lost. More Veterans hear that asking for help is not the same as giving up.

If you have lost someone, we are carrying them with you this month.

If you are still fighting, we are in this with you. Not just in September.

For those we have lost. For those we are still fighting for.

If you or a Veteran you know is struggling, reach out. The Veterans Crisis Line is available 24 hours a day. Dial 988 then Press 1, or text 838255.
