U.S. soybean crush continues to gain momentum. New U.S. Department of Agriculture data show processors crushed 221.9 million bushels in July, the highest monthly total since March and 8.2% above July 2025. Domestic crush has now exceeded year-ago levels for 17 consecutive months, reflecting continued investment in U.S. processing capacity and stronger markets for American farmers thanks to the .

More crush means more homegrown feedstocks for clean fuels.

According to the latest U.S. Energy Information Administration data, clean fuel production used 1.55 billion pounds of soybean oil in June alone. That’s nearly as much soybean oil as the industry used during the entire first year of the RFS in 2005.

It was great to see U.S. Department of Agriculture Secretary Brooke Rollins at the Farm Progress Show and to personally thank her for her strong commitment to rural America and the industry.

Secretary Rollins spoke directly to farmers about the administration's support for biofuels, including yesterday's announcement of 100% reallocation of small refinery exemptions. She highlighted historic RVOs, record production and growing demand for American-grown feedstocks.

We appreciate her leadership and look forward to seeing this commitment follow through as 100% reallocation is implemented and the administration continues to support policies that strengthen demand for , as well as the American-grown feedstocks that make them possible.

Today, the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency announced decisions on 34 petitions from small refineries seeking exemptions (SREs) from tepid 2025 volumes. At the same time, EPA announced its intention to finalize a supplemental rule before the end of October to ensure that the RINs exempted today are restored to 2026 and 2027 RFS volumes.

We thank The White House and congressional champions including Senator Chuck Grassley, Senator Joni Ernst and Congresswoman Ashley Hinson, for working to ensure that RFS exemptions don’t come at the expense of clean fuel producers and farmers.

The U.S. and industry has been running at a record pace, increasing capacity utilization from 55% last year to above 80% in recent months.

EPA's historic volumes are driving new investments and economic opportunity across rural communities and providing American farmers a valuable domestic market at a time when overseas markets are unreliable. The U.S. Environmental Protection Agency’s latest update on biofuel production shows that the U.S. , and industry is still running strong. Following the record high production volumes in June, the industry continued to produce volumes at the highest rates since December 2024 while import volumes remained historically low.

With five months of production left in 2026, U.S. biomass-based diesel producers are producing at a pace consistent with EPA’s historic RVOs for the year.
