While many families enjoy a long weekend and a day off this Columbus Day, our Missouri first responders are still on the clock. Firefighters, law enforcement, EMS, Corrections, and dispatchers don't get holidays off—they stay on the front lines to ensure our communities remain safe and protected.
The dedication required for this job is immense, and the constant stress can take a heavy toll on your mental and emotional well-being. Remember, prioritizing your wellness isn't a sign of weakness; it's a critical part of staying ready to serve.
If you or a fellow first responder are feeling overwhelmed, anxious, or stressed, the Missouri First Responder Provider Network is here for you. We connect you with vetted, culturally competent behavioral health professionals who understand the unique demands of your profession.
Help is always available, and our services are 100% confidential.

💚 World Mental Health Day 2026 💚

Today is a reminder to prioritize YOUR mental health just as much as you prioritize the well-being of others.

First responders face trauma, stress, and emotionally challenging situations on a daily basis. You spend your time showing up for others on some of the hardest days of their lives, but it’s just as important to take care of yourself.

💚 It’s okay to not be okay.
💚 Asking for help is a sign of strength, not weakness.
💚 Therapy is a tool, not a stigma.

Let’s continue to break the stigma surrounding mental health and normalize seeking therapy and support. Taking care of your mental health is not a luxury — it’s essential.

You can’t pour from an empty cup. You matter, your mental health matters, and you deserve the same care and compassion you give to others every day.

Today and every day, remember: It’s okay to ask for help. You don’t have to carry it all alone. 💚

Love this idea! Come on Missouri…”show me” your patches!

Calling all heroes! 🚒🚓🚑 We’re collecting first responder patches from across the country, and we need your help!

In the first responder community, patches are more than just a part of the uniform. They represent service, pride, and the special bond shared by those who dedicate their lives to protecting others. Trading patches is a long-standing tradition that connects first responders across departments and communities.

This December, the Gary Sinise Foundation is bringing families of fallen first responders to Walt Disney World for our annual Disney in December event, and we need your help making it extra special!

Throughout the event, over 700 children will have the opportunity to collect and trade patches from departments across the country. Each patch is a reminder of the incredible community standing behind them and honoring their loved one's service and sacrifice. 💙

Want to send a patch? Please make sure it arrives by Friday, November 13, at:

Gary Sinise Foundation
Attn: National Outreach Team
PO Box 680819
Franklin, TN 37068

Help us remind them that they will always be part of the first responder family! 🇺🇸
