In Remembrance of Officer Benjamin Arthur Bohanan:

Today, we honor and remember UTPD Officer Benjamin Arthur Bohanan, who tragically lost his life in a car accident on his way home from work on November 11, 2004. Officer Bohanan was a deeply respected and valued member of the University of Tennessee Police Department, remembered for his dedication, professionalism, and service to our community.

In his memory, we established an endowed fund to provide financial assistance to the legal dependents of University of Tennessee Police Department personnel—past and present—at the Knoxville campus. Through this fund, Officer Bohanan’s legacy of service and commitment continues to support and uplift the UTPD family for generations to come.
