MCRSP was proud to attend the 2026 NARR Best Practices Summit in Fort Lauderdale, Florida, this week ☀️

The MCRSP team, board representatives, and representatives from our accredited providers spent three days learning, connecting with recovery housing leaders from across the country, sharing ideas, and exploring ways to continue strengthening recovery housing in Missouri. 🤝

We were also honored to hear from Dr. Monty Burks, Director of the HHS Center for Faith and Executive Director of Great American Recovery, during the summit.

As Missouri’s NARR affiliate, we’re grateful for opportunities to learn from others in the field, build meaningful connections, and bring new ideas and resources back to the communities we serve. 💙

We were honored to welcome Dr. Monty Burks and Jeff Kahrs from the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services to the 2026 MCRSP Annual Conference! 🎉👏

Dr. Monty Burks serves as Director of the HHS Center for Faith, where he works to strengthen partnerships between faith-based and community organizations and public systems to support recovery, behavioral health, workforce development, reentry, and second-chance opportunities. 💙

Jeff Kahrs serves as HHS Regional Director for Region 7, representing the department across Missouri, Kansas, Iowa, and Nebraska and working with partners throughout the region to strengthen health and human services. 🌎🏛️

We’re grateful to Dr. Burks and Director Kahrs for joining us in Missouri and spending time with the recovery leaders and organizations doing this important work across our state. Thank you for being part of this year’s MCRSP Conference! 💙🙌

🏆 Celebrating Our 2026 MCRSP Conference Award Recipients!🏆

One of the highlights of the 2026 MCRSP Annual Conference was recognizing two individuals whose dedication and service have made a meaningful impact on the recovery community.

💙 Rosie Anderson-Harper was honored with the Recovery Legacy Award in recognition of her years of dedication, leadership, and commitment to strengthening recovery and supporting individuals and families affected by substance use.

💚 Missouri State Representative Darin Chappell received the Guardian of Recovery Award in recognition of his advocacy and commitment to supporting and advancing recovery through his work in the Missouri House of Representatives.
