The Fire Museum participated in the Salvation Army Hogs for Hope Bike Show on October 1st. The museum motorcycle is a 9/11 tribute bike. It honors all first responders and flight 93 passengers that lost their lives. It is on permanent display at the museum. The motorcycle won 3rd place in the American category. The museum completed a much-needed improvement this week. We installed a new HVAC system on the second floor. The old fire station did not have an air conditioning when it was built. They had installed a window unit as the years went by. Our museum relies on volunteers and donations to continue our success. We would like to recognize two people in particular. We could not have accomplished this improvement without their generosity. Buddy Luebbert stepped up once again. He provided his expertise to get the electrical system installed. Gary Bemboom provided his services to install the HVAC system. He sourced a system that delivers heat and air conditioning. He donated his time and materials to get he system up and running. We thank them both for helping to make our museum a success.
