On the April 7 election, the Jeff City Public School District board vacancies will be on the ballot. Seven people are running for school board and they are listed below (three board vacancies exist so you will vote for three).

A few ways to determine who you will vote for include:
- review their social media
- read their responses to News Tribune questions
- contact the candidates directly
- attend their campaign event(s)

There are three vacancies. You will select three candidates on your ballot (out of the seven) when you vote April 7. The candidates are:

- Trent Vallandingham
- James Kindred
- Gretchen Duckworth
- Ryan Towner
- Cierra Griffin
- Michelle Rodemeyer
- Kris Scheperle

Cole County registered voters! The April 7 election is approaching fast, and you can soon request your absentee ballot if you are voting absentee by mail.

Follow all instructions carefully including how to return the absentee ballot and make sure every item is completed on the return envelope. Make your request right away and don’t delay in mailing it back to the county clerk.

Mail-In Absentee Voting Begins: Tuesday February 24

In-Person Absentee Voting (with legal excuse): Tuesday, Feb 24 - Monday, March 23

In-Person Absentee Voting (no excuse required): Tuesday,March 24 - Monday, April 6
