Missourians deserve leaders who represent us, not politicians, like Sen. Josh Hawley, who spend their time attacking reproductive freedom.

We delivered postcards to Sen. Hawley with one simple message: do better.
From abortion bans to attacks on medication abortion access, Hawley has repeatedly worked against the will and health care needs of Missourians. We’re making sure he hears directly from the people he was elected to serve.

Curious what your lawmakers were actually doing this session? 👀

Join Planned Parenthood Great Plains Votes for our May Advocacy Meeting to break it all down: what bills we tracked, where they landed, and what comes next.

We’ll cover harmful proposals like SB 999 (which would criminalize abortion providers) and HB 2536 (which targets trans Missourians by restricting access to public spaces), along with other legislation impacting our communities.

SB 999, also known as the “Cruelty Over Care Act”, is being debated on the Senate floor right now.

Even after Missourians voted to protect abortion access, politicians are continuing to push harmful legislation like this; legislation that would criminalize providers, restrict medication abortion, and limit care for patients facing complex, deeply personal medical decisions.

We’re grateful to the reproductive health champions standing up and speaking out against it.

The 2026 Kansas Legislative Session is officially over, and PPGPV never stopped fighting for Kansans’ rights to bodily autonomy and reproductive freedom. Governor Laura Kelly vetoed every harmful bill that violated our rights to bodily autonomy. Several anti-abortion and anti-2SLGBTQIA+ bills passed after the Legislature overrode the Governor’s vetoes. These bills blatantly go against the will of Kansans, and we need to make our voices heard. The fight is only lost when we stop fighting!

Black maternal health doesn’t exist in a vacuum. It’s shaped by policy. Systemic barriers in health care continue to put Black mothers* at greater risk of pregnancy-related complications. When lawmakers fail to expand access to care and support community-based providers, these disparities persist.

Policy choices have real consequences for maternal health. Expanding access to care and supporting Black-led and community-based providers can save lives.

The Kansas Legislature rushed to override the veto on HB 2635, a bill that shields anti-abortion crisis pregnancy centers (CPCs) from regulatory oversight. CPCs are widely considered to be unethical, often utilizing deceptive tactics to dissuade pregnant people from seeking abortion care. Take it from Dr. Ashlyn Brown, MD.

Veto session starts April 9! Tell your lawmakers to OPPOSE anti-abortion legislation. Kansans support abortion access!
