**OOPS! I messed up! The COTTON TEAM will compete in San Angelo on Monday, while the WOOL TEAM will compete at TTU next Saturday! Sorry for any confusion!**

Our JGFFA members are putting in the work!

Today, our Cotton Team and Wool Team participated in the TTU practice contests in Lubbock.
Yesterday, our Wool Team competed at both the New Home and Lubbock-Cooper practice contests.

Congratulations to our CDE teams for qualifying for STATE!
The Dairy Cattle and Range teams competed in Stephenville on Wednesday and qualified for the state contests. Our teams compete against all classifications of schools in these contests, making their wins even more impressive!

The Jayton-Girard FFA Range team has had a busy few days!
On Friday, they competed in the SWCD Range contest at Wellington and placed as the third high team!
Today, they competed in the Hemphill County Range contest in Canadian and placed as the third high team!
Range team members are Caleb Herzog, Cutter Lee, Ben Baldridge, and Kirby Miller. Congratulations, guys! Good work!

Kirby Miller, Texas 4-H Livestock Ambassador, will be hosting a 1-on-1 Showmanship Workshop tomorrow after weigh-in at the Clairemont show barn! He has experience in rabbits, swine, sheep and goats.

💛💙 CALLING ALL FFA AND JUNIOR FFA PARENTS!! 💛💙
It's our turn! JGFFA is in charge of the concession stand at the Kent County Junior Livestock Show and we need your help!

We are asking ALL JGFFA members and Junior FFA members (not just the ones involved in stock showing) to help as this is a fundraiser for the chapter. Students signed up to bring either a 12-pack of drinks or a dozen treats. Treats can be homemade or pre-packaged. Check with your kiddo and see what they signed up for!

We also need help running the concession stand. I have attached a google sheet for sign ups. Students can work in the concession stand, but we are asking for a least ONE ADULT for each shift.
Because of the one-day show and the basketball games on Friday, we will only open the concession stand on Saturday. We are going to focus on breakfast as our main meal. We will have breakfast sandwiches and burritos as our main items with drinks and snacks available through the sale. We are not doing a lunch item so as not to compete with the barbecue meal.

There is one change to the listed schedule - weigh-in has been moved to NOON to allow for basketball games.
