Thank you all for your Oktoberfest attendance! It is so wonderful to see the smiles on the many faces of the attendees, whether you were launching pumpkins, eating chili, running through the woods, decorating cookies, listening to music, taking photos in the photo garden, bidding on silent auction items, browsing the jcrc table, browsing vendors, watching the dog parade, checking out the haunted gingerbread houses! We appreciate your willingness to spend a Saturday with us!

How to help an aging forest
Join us at Jay Community Recreational Centre on Wednesday, October 7 at 11:30 at the Cross Road parking lot for a short walk on our trails with County Forester Jared Nunery. Jared will share his observations and research that prompted the JCRC efforts to encourage regrowth in an aging balsam plantation. Hear about our project, completed with the help of a UMATR grant, and ask questions about your own backyard or town forest!
