Not since Anthony Bourdain's culinary masterpieces has there been such a food frenzy! Lynn Dunton is no stranger to a cold one, but what's even more impressive is her kitchen wizardry this Friday at the Jay VFW - think cabbage rolls, potato salad, green beans and a show-stopping dessert. Better call 8975112 to order your meal, pronto!

You Are Not Forgotten!

Another update on the continued efforts to modernize and improve the POW/MIA Remembrance Bridge located in Jay.

A huge thank you is in order to AMVETS Post 33 for raising over half the necessary funds for the lighting project at the POW/MIA Jay bridge location. The cost for the project is a little over $4000. All funds are coming through donations. VFW and AMVETS member Jim Manter has successfully procured and secured all the required parts, which will provide the necessary lighting as needed. The goal is to have the project completed by July 4th. Several other upgrades have already been completed, with additional improvements, including painting and replacing old wood, are planned for the near future.

This special place features a monument dedicated to all wars, and serves as the community focal point for annual POW/MIA National Recognition Day and Memorial Day ceremonies. The site is the home of an annual, decades-long tradition hosted by local veterans' posts—the Frank L. Mitchell VFW Post 3335, AMVETS Lane Dube Post 33, and American Legion Post 10.
