Optimist Club of Jasper, GA MEETINGS
We meet at noon on the first and third Thursday of the month at 61 Main restaurant on S. Main Street in downtown Jasper.

The Optimist Club of Jasper was formed in 1981 and over the past 40 plus years has been part of the local community to bring out the best in Pickens County kids. Guests and new members are always welcome! Inclement weather policy: If Pickens County Schools closes due to inclement weather, then our meeting is cancelled. If Pickens County schools open late due to inclement weather, then we still hol

We hold three major fundraisers a year: Pecan sale in November/December, 5K Flapjack Run in June, and our annual Scholarship Golf Tournament in May. All money raised goes back into our community to help our youth.

What a great morning at the Optimist Club Flapjack 5K! 🏃‍♀️🥞

I was honored that the Patsy Carver Team received the award for Most Participants on a Team, and I couldn’t be more proud! This event is a wonderful reminder of how important it is to support the organizations and people who make our community such a special place to call home.

One of the things I love most about our team is their willingness to support local organizations and give back to the community we serve every day. Thank you to each person who took part and helped make this event such a success. A special thank you to Marion for helping coordinate everything and making sure our team was ready for race day!

Thank you as well to Wes for the adorable custom water bottles featuring our logo. They were a huge hit and the perfect way to keep everyone hydrated this morning!

Congratulations to all the runners and walkers who participated. I love being part of a community that comes together to support local events, encourage one another, and make a difference.

Over 240 runners participated in the Flapjack Race this morning in Downtown Jasper GA . Thanks. Our club raises funds to support the youth of Pickens County. Watch in August when we make donations to 15 youth oriented organizations.
