Bent Tree Foundation

Donations designated for a specific fund are used exclusively for that fund. The Foundation’s Board of Directors do not permit the co-mingling of funds.

Founded in 2009 and nestled in the foothills of the Appalachian Mountains, the Bent Tree Foundation supports our local area with scholarships, teacher grants, animal care for strays found on Bent Tree property as well as community enhancement projects. The Bent Tree Foundation has a number of designated funds, such as the Scholarship/Grant Program, the Animal Care Fund and the Community Enhancement Fund to name a few. Your donation will always be used as you have specifically directed.

*** UPDATE: BAILEY IS BACK HOME! ***

Please be on the lookout for Bailey ~ From Laird & Susan Carmichael:

We lost our black miniature schnauzer about 11am on 05/05 in the lower Oglethorpe Mtn Rd and Briar Vista area. “Bailey” yanked the 12’ retractable handle leash from my hand and took off. He is probably caught up in fallen limbs with the leash. His AirTag stopped working or fell off. If sighted, he’s friendly, loves treats and call:

Bailey is all black, about 20 lbs and might have pulled his collar off.

*** UPDATE *** Ivan is pre-adopted and will be going to his new home soon.

Meet Mr. Ivan. He is so cool and currently waiting on his forever home in the BT animal shelter. He is a big Maine C**n type boy and has the cutest bob tail. Look at those gorgeous green eyes!! Please contact LuAnn Chambers at 678-414-1047 if you would like to come meet him.

Orange / gold cat found in Bent Tree. Friendly male. He came into a house through the cat door. He’s currently at the Bent Tree Shelter. Call or text LuAnn 678-414-1047.

This tiny baby was found close to the dam in Bent Tree yesterday. Please be on watch for kittens or the momma. He weighs a pound so is 4 weeks old. Momma probably lost him while moving her litter or he followed her and got separated.

The March 28 deadline to sign up for the upcoming Golf Tournament benefiting Animal Care at the Bent Tree Animal Shelter is quickly approaching!
Registration is available at the Golf Pro Shop. In addition to the details provided on the flyer, PLEASE NOTE that donations for this tournament may be made in one of THREE ways: cash, credit card, or by check payable to the Bent Tree Foundation (please include “Animal Care” in the memo line).
