Bent Tree Foundation Donations designated for a specific fund are used exclusively for that fund. The Foundation’s Board of Directors do not permit the co-mingling of funds.

Founded in 2009 and nestled in the foothills of the Appalachian Mountains, the Bent Tree Foundation supports our local area with scholarships, teacher grants, animal care for strays found on Bent Tree property as well as community enhancement projects. The Bent Tree Foundation has a number of designated funds, such as the Scholarship/Grant Program, the Animal Care Fund and the Community Enhancement Fund to name a few. Your donation will always be used as you have specifically directed.

This sweet little guy needs a new home as his owner passed away. He was found July 6 in the cemetery across from McDonalds in Jasper. No one ever came forward looking for him so the man who found him kept him. This kind man passed away a couple weeks ago. This little dog needs a home.

AT THE BENT TREE SHELTER
OUR LITTLE WARRIOR.
Found in a ditch at 4 weeks old with open wounds, live maggots & fleas biting at him & a broken back leg, little Goosey was rushed to the BT shelter where LuAnn managed to flush the maggots off him & kill the fleas. She started him on antibiotics & pain medication. He was taken to Wayside the next morning where it was confirmed he did have a broken leg, amputation was mentioned. Goosey was having none of that & within a week he was standing up, soon moving around on 4 legs & playing in his play pen, jumping onto his ball tower, using a proper litter box & putting on weight. After a few weeks another X-ray confirmed his leg had basically mended itself & he could run, jump & play. At the foster home he insinuated himself in with the 2 little girl kittens also bring fostered. They were not keen on him at first, but now they love each other.
I am now temporarily fostering him. He has finished all his shots, is 4 months old & will be neutered soon. He is a very unique little boy - curious to see any visitors, not afraid of anything or anyone & loves to play & be cuddled. After all he has been through, he deserves a loving home. Can you give him the best life? He is available to pre-adopt & can be visited at any time.

Are you missing this little tabby cat? A resident on Echo Ridge in Bent Tree has been feeding him/her for a couple of months. The cat is now safe at the shelter, definitely not feral but scared so we do not know yet if male or female, hopefully not pregnant.

AT THE BENT TREE SHELTER
PURRFECT COMPANIONS ARE WAITING FOR YOU.

APRIL & MAY were found on a resident’s porch on Mulligan Drive in early June. They are now around 4 months old & in another month will be spayed, microchipped, & be up to date on all their shots. They are available for pre-adoption. These 2 little girls are very special, a little shy at first but quickly warm up to you. I am fostering them & after 48 hours both were sitting on my lap just loving to be petted. They are very lady-like, playful but not too rambunctious. They will make a wonderful addition to your family.

AT THE BENT TREE ANIMAL SHELTER:

Meet these 4 little brothers, found hiding under a porch on Starcross in Bent Tree. Sundance, the bigger orange tabby, was the most defensive but is now loving being petted. Nutmeg, little orange, fluffy kitten is the shyest but loves to be cuddled. Birch, bigger grey tabby, is very outgoing & loving. As for Fig, little warmer toned tabby, he is just the sweetest little one. His face lights up when we go to his condo to cuddle him.

To meet this band of brothers please contact LuAnn 678-414-1047. One of our volunteers will meet you at the shelter at your convenience.

We do require references & all of our cats must be indoor only.
