Last week, myself and several VFW Texas Veterans visited Capitol Hill advocating for Veterans, their families, their Widows and the communities we all serve.
As the lead in our delegation, the Congressman gave yours truly a shout out in the article and Official group photo that he sends out to the entire State of Texas.
Advocating on behalf of veterans issues is a passion and an honorable service!
Dear Mr. Williams,
During my time in Washington, D.C. last week, I had the opportunity to meet with a variety of groups and representatives, all bringing incredible ideas and valuable insights on how to strengthen their communities and improve the future of Texas. These conversations are essential as we work together to ensure policies that support economic growth, education, and infrastructure development across our great state.
Later in the week, I returned to the district to engage with our community at local events. I was honored to participate in Elias Herrera Middle School’s Annual Career Day, where I spoke with students about the importance of education, leadership, and civic engagement. It’s always inspiring to see young minds eager to learn about the many opportunities ahead of them.
I also had the pleasure of attending the Zapata County Fair festivities, celebrating the rich culture, traditions, and hardworking spirit of our community. Events like these bring people together and highlight the values that make South Texas such a special place.
I remain committed to working alongside our local leaders, educators, and community members to advocate for the resources and policies that will continue driving progress in our district!
