Itās $5 Friday! Today we are raising funds for Umiās continued board and train, food, and preventative care. This adorable girl has been waiting far too long for someone to give her a chance, and sadly, there are still no fosters in sight.
Umi is a sweet, adorable mixed-breed girl who deserves so much more than spending her days in a kennel, waiting for someone to choose her. She has been in board and train, receiving care and working toward a brighter future, but the one thing she needs most is still missing ā a home of her own or a foster willing to open their heart and give her a chance.
As the weeks turn into months, we find ourselves asking the same heartbreaking questions. How long can we keep asking Umi to wait? Is it fair for a dog to spend so much of her life in boarding simply because no one has stepped forward? Is this the life we wanted for her when we committed to helping her?
These are difficult questions, and the answers are even harder. We know Umi is being cared for, but being safe is not the same as having a family. She deserves a soft place to land, people to love, a home to call her own, and the simple joy of being someone's dog.
We made a commitment to Umi because we believed she deserved a better life. We still believe that with all our hearts. But rescue is hard, and love alone doesn't pay the bills. Without a foster or adopter, the boarding expenses continue to add up while we keep searching for the person who will finally say YES to this precious girl.
This $5 Friday, please help us keep Umi safe while we continue searching for her lifeline. Every donation, no matter how small, helps cover the costs of her continued care and gives us more time to find the future she deserves.
