While we love our work on community projects, our favorite thing we do is honoring the staff that makes all of this possible.

At this year's annual award assemblies we presented Mrs. Hensley and Mrs. Jensen with the Jasper Jasper Lasting Legacy Foundation, Inc. teacher awards.

This award honors staff who have a history of being a positive influence in their student's educational lives.

For the past 3 years this award has been made possible by donations from Carthage Animal Hospital.

A couple posts ago we teased that Jeff Bauer was working on another project for us. After a few years, the old school bell finally has a new home near the Elementary entrance.

We hope this will be a monument not only to the history of the Jasper School District but also to the legacy community members can build when working together.

We would like to thank our donors and partners: Jared Jeffries and the Jasper Agriculture Department, Jasper R-5 School District, and the City of Jasper, MO for helping see this project through.

The city ballfields are one of the most used public spaces in our district community with well over 100 Jasper area kids playing baseball, softball, and t-ball.

We're excited to be working with the City of Jasper, MO and Jasper R-5 School District in improving the facilities down there.

In the past couple weeks we partnered with Jeff Bauer Masonry to get the brick on the ballpark flagpole/water fountain repaired. Stay tuned for more work Mr. Bauer is doing for us at the school!

Last year we were honored to be the recipients of a Love's Travel Stops community donation to go towards future improvements at the Jasper Baseball and Softball Complex.

With the help of Love's generous donation, the Jasper Lasting Legacy Foundation, Inc. was able to support last weekend's ballfield work day organized by Jasper Youth Sports(previously known as Elementary Booster Club) and both High School Baseball and Softball teams.

Some of the improvements included replacing worn boards on the bleachers and backstops as well as painting the bleachers and backstops. More materials have been purchased for further improvements to the grounds including new metal for dugouts and more paint to finish what hasn't been completed.

We couldn't do it without generous donations from the community and the invaluable help from volunteers. If you would like to make a tax-deductible donation or volunteer your time, please reach out or follow our page for future opportunities.

With Basketball Homecoming tonight, let's throw it back to 1912 when basketball players were called "cagers".

That old JHS logo isn't one you see around either! Maybe someone should bring it back.
