These are the most recent statistics available from the National Alliance to End Homelessness (data from 2024).
In Georgia, eleven (11) of every ten thousand people experienced homelessness on any given night. Average rent was $1,329 per month. While the homelessness rate for Georgia is below the national average, it still leaves too many adults (and their children) without a place to live that is affordable. For those adults willing to be active participants towards financial self-sufficiency, a mentoring program via transitional housing can be a way up.
