One of our favorite times of year is here as we prepare to celebrate the incredible accomplishments of our local high school graduates! This year, the Community Foundation will award more than $200,000 in scholarships. Our scholarships aim to make a lasting impact on our local youth by helping them achieve their post-secondary goals. Congrats, Class of 2026!👩‍🎓👨‍🎓

Congratulations to the Celestine Volunteer Fire Department on the dedication of their new fire engine. The new engine replaces a 20-year-old truck and will support the department’s emergency response efforts for years to come. We were proud to support the purchase with a $30,000 grant through The Fund for Dubois County and the Celestine Community Endowment. Thank you to all of the volunteer firefighters for your service to our community!🚒

Today, we’re saying farewell to our team member, Tanner Egbert. Tanner joined the Community Foundation in 2020 as a Community Relations Intern before accepting a full-time role as Finance Manager in 2021. We are truly grateful for his contributions and dedication over the past five and a half years.

Tanner, thank you for everything—you’ll always be a friend of the Foundation. Wishing you all the best in your next chapter! 👏

We had an incredible turnout for our recent professional development opportunity for early childhood educators!

More than 40 providers joined us on Saturday for Conscious Discipline training, hosted by Thrive by Five—an early care initiative of the Community Foundation. Thanks to our grant support, this full-day training was offered at no cost, helping make high-quality learning opportunities more accessible for those who care for our youngest learners.

We’re grateful to each attendee for showing up, investing in your growth, and for the important work you do every day to support children and families in our community. 🖍️📚

For 30 years, we’ve had the privilege of investing in what matters most—our community and its people.

As we reflect on that impact, we’re reminded of a meaningful project from five years ago, when we were a proud partner of the Southwestern Indiana Child Advocacy Center Coalition (SWICACC), and our grant of $560,000 helped bring a new child advocacy center to life.

Today, that Center continues to serve as a safe, trusted place for some of our community’s most vulnerable children—a place where they can find their voices, build strength, and begin to see hope for a brighter future.

This is what community impact looks like. đź’™

Since 1996, we’ve seen what’s possible when people show up for one another. It all started with the belief that we could create a more meaningful impact on our community together.

Behind every grant, every initiative, and every life impacted was someone choosing to give back. Looking ahead, we see even more opportunities to make a difference.

If you’ve been part of this story, thank you. If not, there’s a place for you here. Let’s build what’s next together! ✨
