🍀 District 5 Council Officer Planning Retreat🍀

It brings us great joy to see Daniel Jones continuing to grow, serve, and lead through 4-H! 💚

Daniel, serving as District 5 4-H Council Secretary, stepped up to present a proposal during the District 5 Council Officer Planning Retreat. It’s exciting to see our youth not only showing up, but using their voices, sharing their ideas, and helping plan what’s next for 4-H!

These opportunities are about more than holding an office...they’re about building confidence, developing leadership skills, learning to work with others, and preparing young people to lead today and into the future.

TODAY! Last day to Order Tags for Fall Validation before Late Fees Apply!

Tag orders will close August 31st!

If you DID NOT Validate a Heifer, Lamb, or Goat in June for the Majors and are still needing to get a Heifer, Lamb, or Goat Validated for: FT. Worth, San Antonio, San Angelo, Austin, and Houston you need to make sure you order a tag for Fall Validations in October.

If you are planning to show a pig at Fort Worth, San Antonio, San Angelo, Austin, or Houston you will need to order your tag by September 30th and those pigs will be validated in November.

If you have any questions about tag ordering or upcoming livestock shows please get in contact with Caitlin at the Extension Office.

If you would like to pay by cash or check you will need to come to the Extension Office to pay for your tags.

Validation dates will be posted late August/Early September.

‼️Last call for high school students who are members of Texas 4-H Youth Development Program and Texas FFA Association to sign up for the Speak Out For Agriculture (SOFA) Challenge! ‼️

Registration closes Monday, Aug. 31.

Students can grow their ag advocacy skills and take home prizes! The contest will be held Oct. 3-4 at the Heart O' Texas Fair & Rodeo.
