Currently the JCSA has two programs. The JCSA Blue Santa Program assists families with toys and other items during Christmas Holiday. The JCSA Scholarship Program offers scholarships to seniors in each of the five school districts in Jasper County. We are hoping to expand other ways of serving our community. History and Future:
JCSA has been assisting families in Jasper County for over a decade a
nd has provided toys and scholarships to over one thousand youth members in the county. The organization began with current Sheriff Mitchel Newman who believes "no child should go without". In 2022 the JCSA was able to help provide toys to 230 children and 18 Scholarships to seniors. The JCSA made a page in early August of 2023 to help better relationships between the association and the public. We are hoping to expand into other ways of helping our community. Who can apply? Residents in Jasper County who can provide proof of residency and that have guardianship of children in the household. Child must reside with them 51% of the time. Children in household must be between 0-18 years old, or is otherwise still in high school, and parents or guardians who have children over the age of eighteen but is unable to live on their own due to having a disability. If you like inside of the city of Jasper or the city of Kirbyville, you must apply with their assistance programs and be denied in order to apply for the Blue Santa Program. Applications will be available October 1st and must be returned by December 4th. Seniors applying for scholarship assistance must attend one of the five school districts in Jasper County; these include, Evadale, Buna, Kirbyville, Jasper, and Brookeland. How to Support the JCSA:
