Here's a spatial depiction of our proposed 1.3MWdc agrivoltaic array that will be located on the Potts Mountain Biological Station in eastern Pickens County, Georgia. This 3.5 acre photovoltaic array will serve as a agrivoltaic/ecovoltaic research site very similar in nature to the one located on Jack's Solar Garden (https://lnkd.in/eFwmA9Uu) in Longmont, Colorado. A special thanks to Byron Kominek and Liz Voss for all of their support and enthusiasm for the burgeoning field of study whereby conventional agricultural activities are coupled with photovoltaic energy generation and distribution.

The City of Jasper, Georgia is going thru a conservation biologist's nightmare scenario. They're losing 42% of their billable water due to dated water infrastructure. Urinating and defecating into one's limited water supply isn't exactly sustainable. We here at the ACC are hoping to deliver a serious message to the folks of the area by using the comic strip below appearing once a month in our local newspaper (Pickens County Progress; https://lnkd.in/eEBtmwe2).

A relatively large black bear (Ursus americanus) crossing our pollinator buffer last week.....

We're using wild oats (Avena fatua) as a nurse crop on our 1.3 MW agrivoltaic site. Deer first.....racks and panels next. Seems as though they're doing their part.
