Looking for support, resources, and encouragement on your parenting journey? Jasper Area Family Service Center’s Family Initiative Program has open spots in our upcoming Motherhood and Fatherhood classes.

This program is designed for expecting parents, new parents, and families who want to build stronger, healthier relationships at home. Through these classes, parents can learn practical skills for budgeting, communication, child development, and creating a nurturing environment for their children. The program also offers coaching, job-training support, and employment opportunities to help families thrive.

Classes are held Thursday nights from 6–8 PM at The Jasper Area Family Services Center. Dinner is provided, and other incentives are available. Please note: childcare is not provided.

🌟 HIPPY REGISTRATION IS OPEN FOR 2026–2027! 🌟

Are you ready to give your child a strong start for kindergarten and beyond? 📚❤️

The Walker County HIPPY Program is now accepting applications for the 2026–2027 program year!

🏠 What is HIPPY?
HIPPY is a FREE early childhood program that brings learning right to your home! Our trained Home Visitors provide families with fun, age-appropriate activities, books, and support to help children build the skills they need to be successful in school.

✨ HIPPY helps families:
📖 Build early reading and language skills
🔢 Develop early math and school-readiness skills
👩‍👧 Strengthen parent-child relationships
🎨 Learn through fun, hands-on activities
📚 Receive books and educational materials
🤝 Connect with other families through group events and activities

💛 Who can participate?
Families with children who are 2, 3, or 4 years old may be eligible to participate.

🏡 The best part?
You don't have to leave your home! A trained HIPPY Home Visitor meets with you each week and shows you how to use the activities with your child. You become your child's first and most important teacher!

HIPPY brings learning right into your home through structured activities, books, and one-on-one instruction that helps prepare your child for school. It's one of our most popular programs, and spots fill up quickly every single year.
