As we wrap up Day 4 of the Operation Aviation Foundation Drone Academy, we’re proud to celebrate an incredible achievement—our campers earned a 100% pass rate on the FAA TRUST Certificate Test! 🎉

Throughout the week, these young aviators have demonstrated outstanding skill, responsibility, and confidence while learning to safely navigate and operate drones. It has been exciting to watch their growth and enthusiasm for aviation and technology.

A special thank you to Sanders Aviation for providing the facilities and support staff that helped make this program possible, and to Brackyard Films for their expert instruction and dedication to our students.

We have had a fantastic week and can’t wait to celebrate their graduation tomorrow! 🎓

Drones With A Purpose | Innovation in the Sky ✨

Day 3 of the Operation Aviation Foundation Drone Academy is complete ✅ and our students are continuing to explore the exciting world of unmanned aviation!

Today, these future innovators are building their skills through hands-on drone operations, learning how drone technology is being used to solve real-world challenges across industries such as public safety, agriculture, infrastructure, mapping, photography, and more. From understanding flight principles to developing mission-planning skills, our campers are discovering that drones are much more than a hobby—they are powerful tools with purpose.

We are proud to watch these young aviators gain confidence, problem-solving abilities, and a deeper understanding of the opportunities that exist in the rapidly growing aviation industry.

The future is taking flight, and these students are leading the way! ✈️🚁

Turbulence is NOT failure 😎

Day ✌️we learned to flip and even shoots some hoops while better understanding how to manipulate our drones. We have three squadrons emerging: The Empire, The Rebellion, and Apex Aviators…competition is in full flight ✈️

🚁 Day One is officially underway at Operation Aviation Foundation’s Drone Academy!

Today, our future aviators are taking flight as they learn how to safely operate drones while exploring the fundamentals of flight, aviation, and technology. From understanding how drones maneuver through the air to getting hands-on flying experience, these young minds are building skills that could launch lifelong passions and careers.

We are releasing ACE Camp Nevada news tomorrow! 🎉

We were only able to accept approximately 16 students for our first FAA co-sponsored ACE Camp in Nevada. Applications were extremely competitive. If a student is not accepted this year, we strongly encourage them to reapply for next year’s camp.

Big day at Operation Aviation Foundation ✈️

Acceptance emails are officially going out to students selected for the 2026 ACE Academy in Jasper, Alabama—and we couldn’t be more excited to welcome this next group of future aviation enthusiasts.

This isn’t just a camp. It’s a hands-on, immersive aviation experience designed to open doors, build confidence, and spark real career pathways in flight. From ground school fundamentals to time around real aircraft and aviation professionals, these students are stepping into something truly transformative.

There’s nothing else quite like this in the Southeast. The ACE Academy continues to stand apart by giving young people direct access to the world of aviation in a way that’s practical, inspiring, and unforgettable.
